Spent 3 days here. The room is small, but clean and has all you need for a comfortable stay.Bathrooms were modern and clean.A 10 minute walk to the Colosseum. Plenty of restaurants nearby and close to the metro and tour buses.Very good breakfast buffet.
Just returned from a 4 day trip to Rome to celebrate my 30th birthday, and couldn't have been happier with this hotel in every aspect.

Very clean and quiet hotel. Room was a bit small but we only really used it to sleep so not bothered. Lovely little port hole with a beautiful view down the street to the colosseum. Nice pool and bar area on the roof
Stayed couple of days here. Location is excellent - several minutes walk from Coliseum. Lots of places to eat nearby. The hotel itself is clean and newer construction. Rooms are clean and functional, but extremely small (I been on the cruise ships with larger bathrooms)....More

Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighbourhood just west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season, quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its cobblestone streets. The neighbourhood supports unique and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime residents as well as hipsters on the hunt. Hang out at
Piazza della Madonna dei Monti anytime after lunch and you'll always find something going on.

Rome had what they called 'a Lucifer summer' last year at that time but it was unusually hot. Still hot though and, having never used the pool I don't know. I would imagine you could but I'd email Mercure and ask them!
