My husband and I stayed here for the first few days of our honeymoon in Italy and it was wonderful. The hotel was everything we expected it to be from the photos, and as Canadians in Europe, we fell in love with its charm from the moment we stepped into the lift. Other people seem to be complaining about the...

I was there with my class on a 5 night study trip to Rome. When we arrived me and three others got a room on the 4th floor and was separated from our class as they where on 2th and 3th floor. The rooms was very small for a 4 persons room and there was two twin beds, while the...

We (me and my girfriend) stayed there for wonderful 4 nights. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was so nice and cleaned every day. The price was same like in the cheapest hostels (own double-bed room), but the service was on higher level! The breakfasts were absolutely great - original italiano espresso or cappuccino (or tea), delicious fresh...

The Hotel Aquarium was a great hotel experience for my friend and I. It was extremely close to the Roma Termini (5 minute walk). The bathroom was clean and the sheets looked sanitary as well. The front desk was helpful, they gave us a map, restaurant advice, and free luggage storage after we had checked out. Breakfast was a nice...

As me and my other half were travelling around Europe for a month last summer, Rome was our final resting place. The Hotel itself was very handy for us, being only a two minute walk away from the train station. We were warmly welcolmed and showed where our room was. The room we had was very dated and dingy. Dark...

For the price this hotel is amazing. Talk with Tony at the front desk who is there the major portion of the day. He'll treat you like family. Need a question answered, ask Tony. The hotel is very cozy and very close to the Bus Terminus. It includes a morning breakfast and great service. Book now and enjoy a super...

Stayed here for 3 nights in July and loved it! Let's be honest, in a place like Rome, your not going to be in your hotel for long periods, and as such, it did everything we needed it too, location is perfect, minimum travel to any attraction, service was very good, a very homely kind of feel I thought, the...

A Great value Hotel, large rooms with balconies and views of the Roma aquarium. Personal service for breakfast. Short distance to Termini and walking distance to Colloseum. Short distance to two of the stops for sightseeing buses. In short, a good hotel in terms of price. Beware of the old mother who is night watchman she is a bit grumpi...

We stayed at the Aquarium for 3 days, honestly we cant find the address easily as the hotel is in 2nd floor, but the WORST case is BE CAREFUL with your belongings when you leave the rooms for day trip. Our luggage was broken into and we lost our new purchased LV bag and wallets which we hide inside our...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
