Very clean and comfortable hotel within close walking distance to the beautiful 5 star Via Veneto strip, as well as the Spanish steps and the ancient centre of Rome. All staff were friendly attentive and very pleasant. Our family room was spacious clean had many channels including English ones. There were many comfortable places on all floors to sit and...

Our experience in this hotel was not good. This was partly our own fault, as we didn't keep complaining about the bad smell or the general bad condition of the room (I believe the bad smell was from the carpet tiles in the room which were dirty beyond belief!). We were on vacation though, and really, we shouldn't have had...

This is a small boutique hotel. Our original room was very small and very out of date. The mattress seemed to sag as well. We upgraded for 50 euros/night to a 'triple' room which had a regular American-type king bed, a larger bath, a desk, a corner view with 3 windows overlooking ancient ruins as well as a couple chairs....

Just back from a 5 night stay at the Victoria. Overall it was a good stay but having stayed here a few times in the past we were disappointed that this visit wasn't as good as before. The rooms are ok, a bit dated and needing work in places, just a bit old and tired looking, but clean and comfortable,...

It was ok but a pain because it,s old type room keys and only one key per room. So inconvenient but the staff at desk Nicoli was great. he gave us the best....

I stayed at this hotel in April with my family and friends for my wedding - a group of 40 in total and was very disappointed. The rooms were clean and we got a relatively good offer for a big group staying for four nights. We had travelled to Rome when planning our wedding to check it out and were...

Just back from 6 nights at this hotel. I was at first disappointed in the small room with little street view (we had one window which looked out on an apt patio) - but now I think this is the best room in the hotel! It was silent, and cool. Roma was so hot while we were there that we...

Extremely conveniently located at the top end of the Via Veneto and adjacent to the Borghese Gardens. The room was very satisfactory and a highlight is the rooftop bar and restaurant, with views overlooking the adjacent areas of Rome. Reception staffing is a little stretched so some waiting is to be expected, buit when available they are most helpful. Many...

Located just a few blocks off the famous Via Veneto, the Hotel Victoria is clean, although the carpets in the room and public areas could use a good cleaning. Our room (#428 on a recent visit in hot, humid July) had the best air conditioning I've experienced in three and four star hotels in Italy. That alone prompted me to...

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighbourhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighbourhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighbourhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 20:00.
