This is a copy of the complaint I sent to my travel agent. Camille thanks for helping us with booking this trip, you did such a great job! With that being said, there were a number of things that were not in your control that I want you to be aware of that the hotel did. First when we arrived...

One of the nicest hotel for the money in Rome even though it is far from the center of Rome. We have to take a taxi to go from here and there. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent typical Italian style of service. The room was nice and roomy with ward robe for a change.

This is a nice place to stay in Rome, we had a nice weekend here in April. My thanks go to the hardworking staff, the receptionists who did their best to balance the work between arriving customers, taxi bookings and were a mine of information about the city. Also at breakfast staff were very courteous, particularly Laura who always greeted...

Beautiful and sophisticated hotel with a love to details. Excellent service, staff was exceptional! Hotel was located in a quiet but pleasant residential area ( with a few charming coffee shops, restaurants a nd boutiques)not far from the piazza del populo ( historical center)about 25 min walk. However the hotel provided a frequent shuttle bus, free of charge. The hotel restaurant including the...

We arrived at the Duke Hotel quite late from the airport. It was nice to find we were able to get a decent meal up to 10.15 pm. The food in the hotel is of high standard but is a bit pricey! Breakfast is a feast with all you could want to start your day, although if you wanted 'fresh'...

Charming, no little sophistication, and friendly staff. We were a family of four including two children. They gave us connecting superior and classic rooms which worked brilliantly. The shuttle bus worked brilliantly and is essential - taxis from here would bankrupt most. The criticism on these reviews of the shuttle are unfair in my opinion. My only gripe was the...

Very impressed with this charming hotel. Very clean, attentive service, very good restaurant in the hotel. The bar should be updated and organized as it was really just a table with some liquor on it, and the room was so pretty, would have enjoyed having a proper bartender on hand as a perfect place to unwind. Bathrooms updated and larger...

The family room (2 adjoining rooms) was great value for us (2 adults +2 teenagers). Staff are very friendly, breakfast was good too. You couldn't walk into the city from here, the hotel does provide a shuttle every half hour to the metro ( but it's only 7 seater and often full) - we used the nearest metro station, Euclide,...

This might be an ideal hotel for the businessperson but its not ideal for the tourist. We were disappointed to find no tea/coffee making facilities in the room nor could reception provide me with a kettle - had to order hot water from room service. Breakfast was ok (restaurant staff were excellent). The main problem with the hotel is its...

Staying in Parioli

Neighbourhood Profile
Young and well-to-do families are the street flavour of Parioli. A new kind of Rome, this area is centuries away from the Renaissance with its pockets of 1930s palaces, tony boutiques, open-air markets and plenty of coffee shops. Parioli was built as an enclave for last century’s haute bourgeois and still represents as such in 21st century Rome. Need a break? The area has several great sporting clubs known for tennis and riding, a wonderful modern art museum, easy access to the zoo (Europe’s oldest), and is nestled around Rome’s very best parks including Villa Borghese, Villa Ada and Villa Glori.
