The hotel is in a great location, within easy walking distance to the busy Spanish steps down the hill but also close to the muesums and restaurants of the Repubblica area and to the Trevi Fountain and Centro Storico. Stayed in a Classic room, quiet, well furnished and maintained, good size for a European hotel however slightly small if used...

What a wonderful way to start a vacation. My husband really wanted to stay here and I was worried because I thought it might be too far away from everything. Was I wrong! We were treated like royalty by everyone we encountered. The rooftop bar had a great happy hour and spectacular views. Our room was plush and modern. The...

I just stayed for three nights, and would echo the last reviewer's every word of praise, along with the minuses. It's really a minor point, but you do only get free internet for one device (so you have to pick either your iphone or your laptop). I was in room 321, which was a pleasant, large and reasonably quiet room....

We recently spent 4 nights in Rome and stayed here, conveniently located 10 minutes walk from the Spanish Steps and less than 2 blocks from Via Veneto, Metro stop and other sights. The hotel staff were EXTREMELY helpful and welcoming (we changed our dinner reservations 3 times one evening and they just smiled and joked with us). The room was...

My husband and I recently stayed in Rome and we had a wonderful experience with Sofitel. The people were so helpful and friendly. The room was relaxing and nice. I would highly suggest this be your hotel of choice. It was also a great location.

4 couples in Rome for long weekend. Though not cheap, by booking well in advance, the cost was reasonable, and we were well pleased when we arrived. Helpful staff, very nice rooms and a roof terrace with views over Rome that were wonderful. Pricey drinks, but for the setting, well worth it. Hotel arranged transport to/from airport and at 120...

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighbourhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighbourhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighbourhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 20:00.
