The rooms are incredibly small, its not even realistic. When traveling you are living out of a suitcase, when you spread your luggage out to remove items it'll occupy 99% of the room. It is very uncomfortable. Nothing special. I would not recommend, look for another hotel.

My wife and I just got back from a wonderful trip to Italy. We stayed at three of the hotels recommended on TripAdvisor, so I wanted to make sure I gave some feedback to others. Rome -- We stayed at the Sofitel Villa Borghese. Beautiful hotel located right by the Spanish steps. This is definitely the high-end part of Rome...

We stayed for a week for my partner's big birthday. The location is great, Rome is much smaller and easier to walk than I remembered. We could check in early and check out late. The room was fantastic - we were on the 6th floor, so we had a private terrace with a table and 2 chairs and a sofa....

Small room (which you expect in Rome) and overlooking air conditioning ducts. Noisy hotel - the plumbing from adjoining rooms could be heard - every time a loo was flushed or someone had a shower I heard it! Not helped by being woken by some noisy American tourists slamming doors at 6am in the corridor and talkiing! TV was difficult...

Just back from Rome, and a 5 night stay at Sofitel Villa Borghese. Situated 400 metres from the Spanish Steps in a quieter part of Rome - and this is a good thing, as Rome can be full-on, manic and very tiring. The Hotel is expensive, but very glamorous: while when we were visiting it had a fantastic exhibition of...

We travelled to Italy in May 2011 and thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Sofitel. The room was spacious with a little outside balcony. The staff were so helpful, anytime we wanted advice or directions they were very accomodating. Luigi was our favourite, each day he greeted us with a big smile and reminded us to beware of pick pockets...

The final leg of our second trip to France and Italy was topped off by the excellence of the Rome Sofitel Hotel near the Gardens. A genuinely courteous, friendly and professional staff that provided impeccable service from the door man to the front desk to the turn down service. The room was incomparable, exquisitley appointed and very large by any...

I stayed at the Sofitel in Mid June with family- Room- I booked a Luxury room and it was fabulous! spacious and very comfortable. Breakfast was fabulous, the best breakfast I've had in my years of staying in hotels in Europe. Everything was fresh and mostly organic. However, 30 Euros per person is still very expensive. 20 Euros would be...

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighbourhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighbourhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighbourhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 20:00.
