The hotel and staff are excellent. They were very helpful with the sights and local travelling. The hotel is good for all the attractions and most are within walking distance. We stayed towards the end of November and the daytime weather was very warm. Would definitely stay there again. We chose the basic room which was perfectly adequate. Comfortable bed... More

We stayed at Nazionale for 2 times, once in August and of course was the hotel of choice for us in November. In August we enjoyed the indulgence of an Executive room with a view to Montecitorio Square and the second time we were spoiled with a beautiful suite and a view to Saint Peter's Church. Words are not enough... More

Excellent Hotel and location for seeing the city of Rome. The reception staff, especially Patrick, were very accommodating. Breakfast was probably the best continental style i have seen. Hot was available for an extra 8euros. Decor is typical italian oldie worldly but clean. The hotel is under going some slight refurbishment but i could not see what the end result... More

Lovely staff, hotel room was immaculate and was a great location (about 5 to 10 minutes away from the Pantheon). Would definitely stay there again. About 15 minutes away from the nearest metro station.

I stayed at this hotel in November after booking on a popular comparison website. On arrival in the piazza outside the hotel we were very pleasantly surprised. The hotel is currently dressed in sparkly lights as though it's dressed for Christmas. The check in experience was quick and the staff were great. Friendly, courteous and helpful. Always prepared to make... More

Just checked in. Very nice hotel. Got a room on a third floor with a great view. The room is not too big, but it's OK. Very nice on the inside. Great location, right in the center. Everything is a walking distance

We only stayed 2 nights in a double room, but thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Our room had a large window but no view as such but since we were only there over night this was not an issue. Location: ideal central location, only a 5 minute walk to the Pantheon, 15 minute walk to Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps near... More

Like all hotels in the old center this hotel is old but the rooms have been renovated with respect of the classic style. Nice lobby. Excellent breakfast. Experienced staff. Despite it good location ( Trevi quarter, near the parliament and not far from Pantheon) the hotel is quiet. No public transport in the quarter

Booked Hotel Nazionale as a surprise getaway for my wife and I on a spur of the moment sort of thing. Wanted the few days we would be in Rome to be special so upgraded to an Executive room and am really glad I did. I can't compare the room with a standard room but the one we were allocated... More

Hotel staff were very helpful and pleasant. The rooms were not huge but tidy and clean. Location was perfect and probably this hotel's major selling point. I would stay here again - bit pricey but if you want central this is ideal.

Staying in Colonna

Neighbourhood Profile
Colonna
Frantic fashionistas, pedicured politicos, goal-oriented tourists, and on-the-go locals cross paths every day in Colonna, a delightful chaos in the very centre of the city. Even though it has some of the city’s loveliest sites—a 2nd century column, Belle Epoque shopping centre, and a magnificent Baroque parliament building—Colonna is not just another pretty face, but the cosmopolitan eye of Rome’s cultural storm. Colonna can safely say it has the best of Rome: museums, boutiques, window displays, restaurants, cafes, and people watching.
