Hotel Dei Consoli was perfect for 8 days in Rome. It was a 10 minutes walk to St. Peters Square and was off a main shopping and eating street. Great rooftop bar and restaurant which we used for breakfast every day and for cocktails in...More
This hotel is in a great location being close to the Metro and the Vatican. The room we had was fairly small but we only wanted it to sleep in. We went to Rome to see the sights, not stay in the room. Air conditioning...More
Hotel Dei Consoli is an excellent hotel located very near the Vatican wall. It's less than 10 minutes to walk to the Museum entrance if you're taking the tour with the Sistine Chapel. Dennis, the afternoon desk clerk, was extremely helpful by printing boarding passes...More
Great location close to the Vatican and underground. We had one of the larger rooms and was more than adequate. Some super restaurants nearby as well as all the shops anyone could want.

Just steps away from the chaos of the centre, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighbouring Borgo, Prati is a local favourite for its aesthetic organisation and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets,
quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.
