My family - my wife and I and teenage twin boys - stayed here for 5 nights in January. The other reviewers seem to have said everything and I agree it's a good hotel with a great location. We didn't like the breakfast much - the room is poky and the food just OK, but there are plenty of places...

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for two nights, prior to a cruise honeymoon. The location was fantastic, the views from our window spectacular, and we were minutes from the Pantheon. The front desk personelle were always helpful, and the breakfast on the top floor balcony area was perfect. Compared to other European hotels we have stayed at,...

My daughter and I spent four nights in early January. The hotel is terrific for exploring this beautiful city. We walked everywhere. Located near the Pantheon was a plus making it very accessible to a multitude of little eating spots. The weather was so cooperative we were able to eat outside two nights. The hotel staff was very accomodating. We...

When it comes to older hotels, I'm convinced your personal experience is directly relative to which room you stay in. My sister-in-law and I stayed 6 nights in a corner room, #447, and couldn't have been more delighted! One window looked out at the Parliment Building and the other onto an Egyptian obelisk. We had 2 twin beds that were...

We did a cruise for our honeymoon and decided to stay a few extra days in Rome. The location of this hotel was fabulous for walking to the sites or catching the bus (directly across the street). The metro was a bit futher out, but not an unpleasant or difficult walk. The room was larger than average by European standards,...

My now husband and I spent the second half of our honeymoon at this hotel and enjoyed our stay tremendously! The hotel was in a great location and the staff was very friendly. The room we received was very spacious for a "European" hotel and although it was somewhat dated, was very clean! I would definately stay at this hotel...

The best thing about this hotel is the location, the hotel is rather tired looking and in urgent need of renovation. Our room was comfortable and very clean. They did switch on the central heating but we could not adjust the temperature and needed to have the window open so we didn’t cook! The breakfast was OK, but not a...

Location of hotel was excellent, within walking distance of many attractions and restaurants. Do not allow the concierge to book a restaurant for you...we did, and were ripped off by the restaurant. Find your own places to eat or research them before you get there..Also we thought there would be Wi-fi ih the rooms and it was only availalble, for...

It's all about the central location. The staff was friendly, and the rooms were OK. We checked in after midnight, and the room we got smelled of smoke, but since all the rooms were taken there was nothing that can be done. The AC unit was OK, and the TV was the size of a laptop and had only Italian...

Located within walking distance to all of the Rome tourist sites. Very pretty rooftop terrace overlooking the city for the typical continental included breakfast. It was about a 1 hour crazy cab ride from the airport to the hotel. Service was acceptable and the front desk gave us great recommendations for a nearby coffee place and for a new restaurant...

Staying in Colonna

Neighbourhood Profile
Frantic fashionistas, pedicured politicos, goal-oriented tourists, and on-the-go locals cross paths every day in Colonna, a delightful chaos in the very centre of the city. Even though it has some of the city’s loveliest sites—a 2nd century column, Belle Epoque shopping centre, and a magnificent Baroque parliament building—Colonna is not just another pretty face, but the cosmopolitan eye of Rome’s cultural storm. Colonna can safely say it has the best of Rome: museums, boutiques, window displays, restaurants, cafes, and people watching.
