A wonderful gem in Rome. Everything from the reservation process (over e-mail) to arriving at the hotel was smooth. Nadia, the owner, makes you feel very comfortable and is incredibly helpful - Upon my arrival she gave me great restaurant recommendations and great sightseeing tips....More
I happened to stumble upon Amaranto Romano on tripadvisor and was encouraged by all of the 5 star reviews and promptly booked accommodations for four nights. The reviews were right on. It is a lovely gem, located in a great location in the heart of...More
This is a lovely place to stay, ideally located with spacious, tastefully decorated rooms. There are drinks and snacks available and free Wi-Fi. The huge shower head in our bathroom was very stylish but didn't function well and the lumpy pillows were pretty uncomfortable. We...More

Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up
basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.

You have to make special arrangements with establishment, after we booked we received an email from hotel asking for our arrival time and particulars. We answered this request, they then emailed us information on transportation options from airport to hotel and contact info for check in. I hope this is helpful.

Hi! First of all thank you for your interest!
I would like to inform you that the center of Rome has restricted areas for the car traffic. We are situated in the histroical center where cars cannot enter from 6.30 am to 6 pm from monday to friday and from 2pm to 6pm on saturday. By night on friday and saturday from 11pm to 3 am. Also parking is charged €1,50 per hour on streets (free on sundays). If you are interested we have an arrangement with a Garage near us.
Parking there also avoids the traffic limited area so you can get in but only if the Garage is previously informed.
We can provide address and prices if you are interested.
All the best
