Nestled near Termini Station, Hotel Nord Nuova Roma stands out for its excellent location, allowing guests convenient access to transport and nearby attractions. While opinions on value and service vary, with some concerns about costly drinks and inconsistent service, the hotel's clean and comfortable atmosphere generally receives praise. Room experiences diverge; some guests appreciate the quiet, clean spaces, though others suggest a need for updates and larger bathrooms. My partner and I stayed at this hotel for a week from 17/01/2020 to 24/01/2020.

The positives about this hotel outweigh the negatives hence the 4 star rating.
Our room, although quite small was extremely comfortable and a good size bathroom with a bath and shower which was great for us as I like a shower and my partner likes a bath.
The roof top bar has some magnificent views and I’d imagine in the summer is something spectacular and the service in the bar is superb with the young lady being friendly, courteous and just the right amount of chatty.
The hotel is brilliantly located for transportation links being approx 5 minute walk from the main train station (termini), a 3 minute walk from one of the stops for the sightseeing open top buses and again 3 minutes from the nearest metro (republicca). You can also walk to all the major attractions in Rome although the Vatican is about 2.5 miles away and is a 50/60 minute walk but 6 minutes on the Metro.
The breakfast is fairly good and although might not have the biggest variety as other reviews have said, there is plenty to get your day started with a full stomach.
One minor complaint is that most of the reception staff don’t appear that friendly (there was one young lady who was the exception and always said hello with a smile) and almost as if they can’t be bothered. Mind you we still got checked in and out without any problem and at the end of the day that’s what you want.
Watch the local tourist tax which is 4 euros per person per night and is payable on check out which we hadn’t realised.
The only other complaint is that our room looked into the alley at the back and it was pretty noisy from about 6am.
On the whole a good hotel and I’d go back and stay there again.

Dear Mr Thank you for choosing to stay with us during your recent visit to Rome. We appreciate you taking the time to share your great review with us the tax is unfortunately a tourist tax of the municipality of Rome and is not of our hotel. It has been in force in Rome since 2011. Next time we will give a nice outside room with a nice view. We hope to see you very soon and we send you a big greeting from Rome The management Giancarlo

I stayed here for two nights and would gladly stay here again. I found the people at the front desk to be very friendly. The room was nice, if a bit small, but still had everything I needed. (Two small suggestions though - a shelf in the shower would be helpful as well as a hook for a robe or towel.) Although the room overlooks the street, the double windows blocked any noise. Breakfast was fine and there are plenty of restaurants nearby for lunch and dinner. It is an easy walk to Termini station and to many landmarks in the city. I thought the price was very reasonable and the location was perfect for me.

We stayed from 21/03/22 - 28/03/22 the hotel is absolutely spotless, the location is fantastic the bus/train/ metro station is literally round the corner and most off the attractions are within walking distance. There are several restaurants on your doorstep my favourite the Washington bar just around the left hand corner. Our room was on the 5th floor with a magnificent view. The room had tea/coffee facilities and a wee mini fridge, there is a hairdryer in the bathroom and you also have a safe. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The hotel has a lovely rooftop bar area for chilling out after a long day. The breakfast choice is great something for everyone and the coffee is lovely. I couldn’t fault this hotel and if I return to Rome I will be booking this hotel again.

Great location, close to Roma Termini for rail & Metro for travel around the vicinity and beyond. Loads of ristorante's and bars around - turn left out the door and left again and you'll find somewhere to eat without too much bother. The hotel lobby was clean and well presented with a couple of lifts. The superior room is decent enough, comes with a safe, fridge, TV and hairdryer. The shower was over the bath and came with shower gel/shampoo and other toiletries. Although the street outside our window was busy there are double windows which keep the noise out even in the morning rush hour. There is a roof top bar with lovely views over the city and colourful sunsets - get up there if you can. The Golden Tulip next door has a higher viewing platform but the drinks were pricey. Breakfast runs through till 10:30 and is adequate if not brilliant. The Colosseum is walkable and nearly all downhill (the Metro gets you back up the hill) and the Metro takes you to Vatican City and The Spanish Steps so you're in a decent position for most of the big ticket sights. The ho-ho buses stop nearly outside and you'll see the ticket sellers to the left of the door. I found Rome to be as spectacular as expected but quite dirty in a lot of places (rats running round) with a lot of homeless especially around the railway station although that doesn't have any bearing on the rating. Point docked for the not great breakfast and the lack of a bar in the lobby area but overall a really nice hotel with a lot going for it as a base to explore.

The Hotel was central 2 minutes from the main bus terminal, trains and trans great location for all Romes beautiful historical sites and attractions also close to many restaurants. On arrival was greeted by a friendly man on reception who helped my Mum with her case and showed us to our room which a nice touch. The room very clean and small, the twin beds touched so was more look a double bed. The room did have everything we needed but very tired needs to be modernised. Our room was 670 so one floor up and at the back it was noisey glass bottles were regularly tipped out of a shoot at all hours, and staff would meet up and chat right under our window so was woken up at 6am most days. The hotels sound proofing is non-existent, you could hear everything and the hallway echoed.
The clean staff were excellent as our room was always left spotless.
We opted for Bed and Breakfast, breakfast served 6 30am to 10 .30am it was buffet style and there was a wide selection to choose from which was great, rolls, toast, fruit, yogurts, meats, eggs, fruit juice, cheese, cereals, croissants, jsms, cakes, coffees,The staff who worked at breakfast were very busy, and very short staffed. There was a lady with short hair and glasses who was very rude she mainly worked at the coffee machine where you had to que up and quest which drink you wanted she never smiled was very abrupt and very rude indeed. No smiles, please or thanks ever used she's was very unpleasant to all including other numbers of staff.
Our room did have aircon which was fab as it was 31 degrees most days, there was also a minibar, there was soft drinks charged at 3 euros each. There is a lovely bar on floor 7 so pretty this is the best thing about the hotel , I wouldn't stay hear again as I feel there were better Hotels for the same or similar rates and was tired after the trip due to lack of sleep caused by noise.

It is ok as a three star hotel.
Great advantage is that it is only a five minute walk from the station and we didn't mind the 20 minute walk into the heart of Rome.
There were three adults in our party (me, husband and 18 year old son) - the room was very small - obviously a twin that had been converted into 3 singles - beds were comfortable
Breakfast was dreadful....items not replenished for over half an hour..poor quality
Rooftop bar was ok but shut at 11pm
Would I stay there again....probably not

We stayed here for 4 nights and the price was really good. Any staff we interacted with were really friendly and helpful and we got a couple of dinner recommendations from them. When we arrived we were knackered and didn't want to go out so thought we'd grab a quick bite at the roof top bar. They told us it's all frozen food which is a bit disappointing but it was OK for what it was. The room was a decent size and the bed was really big and comfortable and plenty of hanging space. The shower however, was really small. Not even so much the cubicle but the door. I am a UK size 22 lady and I had to squeeze through the door and I mean squeeze, had to suck it in and had red marks on my skin from having to scrape past both sides. There is a kettle, safe and hairdryer. But they do not have any irons so you'll need to take your own. Our room looked out onto an alleyway between the hotel and another building and through the night there was a lot of noise. About 0100-0200 we were woken up,every night, by what I think might have been bins being emptied or something. Sounds of glass and something like a bin lorry or compacter. The breakfast had good options with bacon, eggs and chicken sausages as well as pastries, cakes and cereals, meats and cheeses and a variety of breads/rolls, and was good value. The reception/lounge area was really nice and never busy. The location was pretty good. We were 3 mins walk from republicca metro which we took to the Vatican. The main Termini is right outside also. Plenty of shops and supermarkets nearby. Loads of restaurants and galeterias right outside. It's about a 25 min walk to the colleseum and pantheon etc. The Vatican is a bit further out so the metro was the easiest option. Its not the best location for the main sights but it's great value for money when you can easily walk to the main attractions. It's all relatively flat so the walk is fairly pleasant.

Very friendly staff. Fast and thorough cleaning service. Good breakfast with a station for espresso and so on on-demand, buffet with scramble egg, bacon, sausages. The boiled eggs one does well to stay away from. We needed one room for our the kids and one for us parents next to each other, which they were able to provide which was great. The bathroom in the smaller room was really small though. Pretty good location. About 20 minutes walking from Trevi. Very close to the station. The hotels order taxi for you that typically arrive within a couple of minutes and are pretty cheap and clean. Good that that have a gym with all the great Italian food. But the should really add more weights and it is only open from nine in the morning

being close to Terminii, I had some misgivings about noise. There wasn't much. The terminii location is excellent, as the metro lines meet there, and if you need a cab (we did) they are readily available. Plenty of very good restaurants around
The hotel seems to cater to tour groups (college age) so can be a bit busy in the lobby.
Excellent breakfasts, and the staff making coffee (big thing for me) was great.
The roof bar had nice views. Get a drink, but don't eat there.

We stayed at this hotel during our week's trip to Rome for the Ryder Cup being held at Marco Simone. One of the main reasons we chose this hotel was because of its easy access to the Metro and the train station. It sits in the hub of activity for central Rome. However, we got much more than we anticipated. This three star hotel was immaculate. The room was cleaned every day to a very high standard and a great plus was that it was so quiet, no noise from the street/traffic. The staff were warm and welcoming and couldn't help enough. The roof terrace and bar were relaxing and afforded great views across Rome. We didn't have breakfast at the hotel due to getting to the golf course. Excellent stay, would definitely stay at this hotel again for a relaxing experience.
