We arrived at 11am and Giovane greeted us pleasantly and had a room for us within 5 minutes. I know this was lucky but when we got to the room, it was actually more like an apartment. With a walk out balcony and a spotless large bathroom! They even had tea and coffee in the room with an electric kettle....

Excellent location, service, great value, comfort, facilities and out of this world breakfast choice. However the best thing we found about the Commodore was Cristiano the front desk person, he made us so welcome from the moment we arrived. He was so warm and good fun with it, he gave us all the information and help we asked for and more...

This is the third time I visit Rom, and this is the best Experience ever! Mr Giovanni in the reception is the best hotelWorker and the most helpful hotell employee we ever meet. Have to say, all the hotel employees were very helpful, kind and Professional. Room was very clean and typical Italy Classic design. Air condition worked good. Cleaning...

Can't fault the location, within walking distance of everything, and close to Termini station if you don't want to walk. Good breakfast buffet. Rooms basic but clean. Staff helpful. Bar wasn't open at all but we wouldn't have used it anyway as there are plenty within close walking distance. I would call it 3* not 4* though.

Stayed in Hotel Commodore for 3 nights whilst on city break for daughters 18th. The hotel is not a 4 star, it is quite basic but very nice all the same. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Needed the room longer as we had a late flight and they were able to accommodate our needs. Breakfast continental, very good...

The hotel is quite basic definately not a four star! Not sure who rates them? but cleanish. Furniture in rooms is very dirty and the pillows need replacing. The front desk staff were extremely helpful. The rooms do not have a tv. Our room looked over pipes and vents on the roof. The breakfast was very basic with pastries in boxes...

We spent a weekend in November at this hotel. Although the rooms are a bit outdated and overall it's a dated hotel, its location and free breakfast made up. The only time we spent at the hotel was at night sleeping so this worked out perfectly. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay here again!

Very basic old fashion hotel We were given a narrow basic room with no view and cold air condition is not working and the temperature was 29c and Windows view the inner side of the building. Very low quality pillows. But on other side good breakfast and very good location beside termini.

Positive feedback: wifi for free, breakfast not too bad, smiling receptionist speaking a good English. What you need to do: the carpets need a good clean, the toilets need to be fixed, the bidet drainage need to work, the mold around the tube need to be cleaned, nobody needs the web spider between elevator and the floor door, when I...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
