Avoid Hotel Dorica The hotel room is old and STINKY ( like cigarrette smell). We tried to raise the issue but we were told there was no smell and no other room available. We had to stuck in the stinky room for a few night. The street noise is loud and poor sound insulation by the window. We could sleep...

We had a wonderful stay. We booked a family room for 4 of us. Clean and neat and very affordable. Close to all the excitement. Opposite the hotel is a little pizza parlor where Sophia Loren once made her own pizza.

We chose this hotel after reading reviews on TA. The location is just about perfect, termini to the right and bus tours to the left, both short walking distance - or if you don't mind walking then a lot of the main attractions can be reached by foot. Our room was overlooking the government building across the road which was...

Good location and clean rooms, and thats it. Bad experience for us at the end, because they charged me twice the 40 euro tax. I payed it cash during my check in and I didn't realize they did not give a receipt, so they charged me again this tax at my check out, and it was very frustrating for me...

We really enjoyed our two stays at Hotel Dorica. The entire staff went out of their way to accommodate us. The rooms were quiet and comfortable, as well as being very clean and well-stocked. We appreciated the hotel wi-fi and in-room safe. The breakfast was lovely, served in a nice-looking, cheerful room. Besides, they had yummy local pastries every day...

We've been to Hotel Dorica last july and it was a wonderful stay. Manuela was at the front desk when we arrived and made us feel at home from the beginning. She even made me believe that I'm italian...Mario made the best capuccino I've ever tasted, but to be fair, all the staff were great. The hotel is near everything,...

Good location near termini and republics stations. I could walk to many places from the hotel. The hotel has all the needed facilities and what you see in the photos is exactly what you get. All the staff members are very cooperative and friendly and made us enjoy our stay. Thanks to all from the Egyptian couple.

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
