We arrive 4 Hours early then our check in hour but they gave us the room free of charge. That was cool. From here to Termini Train Station is a 1 min walk, and you can make @10-15 min on foot to Coloseum or Trevi Fountain. Next time when we will get to Rome this will be pur first choice.

It is very well located very close to the Termini train station. Friendly staff at the reception, which is located next to the main entrance of the hotel (that is on the 3rd and 4th floor of the building if I am not wrong). Clean room, very cute.

I stayed at Hotel Selene twice over the past few years and I was pleased to notice it just got better. Renovations were ongoing while I was there the first time and nearly ended by my second visit to Rome. The rooms are cozy and quite spacious. It is a little noisy from the streets so a room on the... We only planned to stay one night on our way home after two weeks in Rome and Naples. One of our passports was stolen just as we were leaving and the staff were very helpful to strangers in distress. The rooms are quiet and moderately priced, but the staff is the big selling point. We won't forget them!

Good hotel, great location, good staff and good amenities. Had a problem with our room the first night, it was 2 twin beds pushed together and when we informed staff they moved us immediately to a new room with no problems. I would definitely recommend this hotel for a short trip to Rome even with the little problem the first... More

The biggest plus to staying at the Hotel Selene Roma is its location. It is easy walking distance to Termini, Rome’s central train and bus station. I did get directions from the hotel, but ended up lost. Much simpler directions are: • Exit the station where the buses are parked • Go to the end of the bus parking lot,... More

This hotel did not disappoint and i would recommend it for an affordable stay in Rome! From arranging airport pickup, dinner reservations, taxi pick up and overall friendliness of the staff we were impressed. Clean rooms with a contemporary feel and generous sized bath for the price range. Comfortable bed with nice hotel linens...pillows were a little stiff. Breakfast offered... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
