Just returned home after 4 amazing days in Rome. Lazy Night is a great place. We had read that the manager spoke no English but he's obviously learnt now. He showed us our room which was spotlessly clean. The shower was great although we had to leave it running for a minute to get the hot water. I'd expect that...

Very good for the price. We stayed 5 nights, room was cleaned and sheets/towels changed every other day. We walked everywhere, but the public transportation and subway connections are good and close, like the Termini station. The reception was never open, so you couldn't really ask about anything, and there was no safety box unlike description. Kitchen however was modern...

This is the real deal for that price. Place is situated near Metro Station and is about 15 minutes walking from Colosseum. It have everything what You need. It's clean and nice. For that price don't expect a hotel, but I recommend it.

My partner and I really enjoyed our stay at Lazy Night Guesthouse, after we eventually found it!... we didn't see the little plaque on the wall next to the door down Via Bixio. It is located near the Feel Good Cafe, which is the cafe used by the B&B for breakfast - you get tokens to use in there on...

Room has TV, air conditioning, balcony, bathroom, hair dryer, shared kitchen. Termini station is just 10 minutes on foot, closest metro station 5 minutes on foot, supermarket just behind...

Wifi didn't work most of the time. Owner seemed annoyed from time to time. TV didn't work (what we didn't care about). Showerholder was broken. We couldn't complain, because the owner wasn't available most of the time. Room was clean, but it smelled like cigarettes and dog in the staircase. You are not allowed to cook in the kitchen, which...

I've never booked a guesthouse before having always sticked to the relative safety of 3 or 4 stars hotels. However, I have to congratulate Lazy Night Guesthouse's management for making our stay better than a 4 star hotel! I would recommend this guesthouse to anyone looking for an affordable, pleasant and comfortable stay. Towels were changed daily and our stay...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
