The hotel staff were very nice but the location had trains running by until 11:30pm. It was actually pretty funny. The breakfast was ok. They would charge extra for a cappuccino. The write up said they had laundry services but they didn't. WIFI is free but only works in the lobby. The weirdest thing was every time we left they... More

The hotel itself is fine, clean rooms, good breakfast. Had to pay extra for wifi which did not work except in the foyer also extra for using our safety box which I thought would have been included. The location is close to train station but is not safe. Be very mindful when walking around even during the day. It was... More

While Hotel Principe Di Piemonte markets itself as a 3* hotel, the overall quality of the facility and services rather resembles that of a cheap youth hostel. It is way below the standard of hotels in that price category in Rome. First of, there is no wifi in the rooms - I didn't even know that such a thing still... More

This hotel is located within a 10-15 minute walk from train station (Termini), I would not recommend walking alone at night from station-however we did not have any bad or unsafe encounters. The closest metro stop is Manzoni (5 minute walk). The hotel is clean, staff friendly, breakfast (included) very basic (croissant and coffee). Wifi is only available in the lobby.... More

The hotel is in a good location but you have to look for it to find it. The sign is down a walkway over the establishment and isn't visible from the street. The staff are all really nice and the included breakfast is enough if you aren't picky. The croissants are good and they have various spreads. Also, they have... More

Hotels in a great location, within easy access to most of the tourist attractions. My first time in Rome and travelling alone so was not to hard. Nice and friendly staff, all the basics you'll need. Bed, shower and toilet. What more do you need???

First of all, Let me commend Fabio and Lorna for their excellent customer service skills; however, Willie is arrogant, argumentative, and combative. Willie will throw you under the bus... This hotel's designation of 3-Star is undeserving; more aptly, no-star should be merited for this place. Let me count thy ways: - no internet in rooms; however, there is internet in... More

This is a basic budget hotel. Its near the station although the trams make more noise! With the windows shut the noise nelts into the background. The hotel is clean tidy and comfortable. Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
