Well attended. The staff is friendly and the location is very good, 4 blocks from the Trevi Fountain, 15 minutes from the Coliseum on foot, 150 meters from the metro that leaves you at the Vatican door and 50 meters from a supermarket that always gets you out of trouble. As for the hotel itself, it could improve some aspects. We are still happy!!

Location of the hotel is excellent, very close to bustling Trevi Fountain, at the same time, located a bit away from noisy area. Close to bus stops and metro station Berberini. With many cafes and market around, shopping can be done easily. Many tourist attractions can be covered on foot.
Hotel staff is very pleasant, our refrigerator wasn’t working properly, they changed it. Rooms are comfortable with all the basic amenities provided in this budget in European cities, we had no issues. Go for it !

We are often in Rome and always stay at Hotel Julia, a small boutique hotel because of the nice staff and convenient location. It’s not cheap but for Rome it’s competitive. We paid $1,500 Canadian for 4 nights for a larger room with a closet (October is off-season, more in season).
The staff is amazing Anna, Rosa and the team treat you like family. The beds are comfy and there is daily service. Tips are optional but appreciated and we always do. They have a small breakfast available consisting of home made croissants, bunt cake and coffees all at reasonable prices.
We’ve never had a bad experience here and most importantly they appreciate the business and are helpful.
Recommend.

I would avoid. No hot water in our room for the entire time we stayed. They said we can use the communal shower on the floors below if we wanted hot water. The rooms were old and basic and the bed was very uncomfortable. Also no Wifi. The only good thing was the location.

I stayed at Hotel Julia for a week. I was in a single room (308). It had a small bathroom/toilet and the shower was next door which was fine.
Pros: location. It is about 7 minutes from the Trevi Fountain. Just turn left out the hotel and keep going straight on. It is walkable to the Spanish Steps, Pantheon, Colleseum, Circus Maximus etc. A bit far to walk to the Vatican probably but an easy taxi journey. The staff were helpful and polite. Rosa in particular was lovely. They organised a car to/from the airport for me for 65 euros which gave peace of mind.
Cons: The room was noisy with an air con unit outside the window. There are lots of food options within a few minutes but all that I tried nearby were very poor. The room/hotel needs a complete renovation. They are full all year around according to one member of staff. That money isn't being used for upkeep. It was clean but very poor upkeep. The toilet in my room was really hard to flush. There was an Aircon unit but no controls so the room was very warm. I was given a hand towel and a bath towel but these weren't changed in a full week stay. The lift had a bad smell and seemed pretty decrepit.
Overall if you're after location then this one is it but you're paying for location and not a decent hotel. It needs a lot of work and then it would be amazing.

In the photos you could see big rooms! But we had a small one. The place is very clean and good service, in addition to being in an excellent location
We asked for a clothes iron and they didn't have one! Also the internet is very slow. They do not provide toiletries, only a shampoo/soap dispenser

Stayed at Hotel Julia for 1 night in July. Specifically booked a hotel with air conditioning due to it being summer and temps of 37C / 100F. After returning to the hotel after exploring the city all day we find out the air conditioning in our room does not work. Hotel is fully booked so we cannot switch to another room. (We moved our mattress to our friend's room and slept on their floor due to our room being too hot.) The hotel front desk cannot give me a refund and states I have to email hotel management. We agree to a $50 refund via email exchange. I have emailed hotel management 6 times since August 4 asking when the agreed credit will be issued to my credit card. It has been 3 months with no response.
I do not recommend anyone to stay at this hotel being the management does not follow through on their word.

Perfect for a city break in Rome travelling solo. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. Staff are friendly and help whenever you need it. Best of all is the location, so many places to eat, drink and shop around with the main attractions not far away either. 10/10 - Hopefully will stay again soon.

The hotel is on a slight hill, steeps to enter the hotel.
We had to beg for the airconditioning remote control, glad we did it did work.
There is a mini bar but if you take the key out with you the electricty shuts off, the mini bar shuts off and any electric devices that you are charging.
The room didn't look like the photos, I wouldn't have bothered to write a review except
for others giving it a good review, is why we choose it.
I agree with anothers person's review skip the near by restaurants.

Great location because it is close to many of Rome's main attractions and fairly low price considering this aspect. But the only positive note is this. The rooms are full of dust everywhere, on the floor, on the furniture and on the beds, so much so that I had to take antihistamines every day because because of the mites I could not breathe well. Tiny bathroom. The shower showed traces of mold. The tv was not working and despite reporting it at reception nothing was done. I won't go back for sure
