Ideal for our rekindling trip. Set in the "mayfair" of Rome with all the brands around for those who love to shop. Walking distance for all tourist attractions. Upmarket hotel and you pay for that but worth it for that special trip.

Hotel de Russie is the perfect hideaway in a chaotic city! Step into the lobby and immediately exhale when you see the beautiful garden restaurant in the middle of the property. You'll forget you're in the middle of a huge metropolis. Yet step outside and you are in the heart of the mecca! Turn right and you'll be in the...

Great location, excellent concierge and front desk. Rooms are spacious but a little dated. The outdoor dining and bar area are great but in winter, that is not a draw. The interior bar is not inviting.

Rome is the most beautiful, historic, and art and architecture-blessed places on earth. It is small enough to walk all over. The de Russie is not centrally located, but is next to the lively Piazza del Popolo and the Borghese Gardens and Borghese Museum. The view of Rome from the Gardens is splendid. The museum contains Carravaggios, Raphaels and Berninis,...

A fantastic hotel, perfectly located in the centre of Rome, within walking distance of all shops etc. A beautiful garden, when the weather permits! The entire staff were exceptional, and always willing to help with any questions or enquiries.

Somewhat hidden on a busy street in the centre of Rome. The unique beauty unfolds immediately upon entering the hotel. Great style. Tasty restaurants. A vibrant bar. Nice (yet small) rooms. An oasis in a busy city

In summation,..we traveled with our entire family. Six children. Ages range from 4 to 15.Three generations. Everyone had a great time. The hotel staff is very child friendly. The concierge staff could not have been more helpful in transportation to and from the hotel and knowledgeable about restaurants. We did not use their services for the touring as we had...

Staying in Campo Marzio

Neighbourhood Profile
Campo Marzio
From its original role as ancient army training fields to its present-day identity as one of the city’s most desirable neighbourhoods, the Campo Marzio is the best place to get lost in Rome. Gorgeous Renaissance and Baroque palazzos line the streets, and are filled with enticing boutiques and food shops. By day, Rome’s best-dressed denizens criss-cross its streets in a fashionable parade of errands, occasionally pausing to look fabulous in gorgeous piazzas like San Lorenzo in Lucina. Campo Marzio can be a bit of a sleeper after aperitivi hour (21:00), so visit by day and experience the pulse of daytime Rome.

“My room overlooked the street. I loved it. Get Junior Suite!”
  • My gorgeous room! I'm pretty sure this was the Junior Suite. Couch on the left against the wall.
  • View from my window. I LOVED it! Looked like a magazine cover. So Italian!
  • This is what I saw when I looked to the right out my window. Piazza del Popolo.
  • This is what I could see when I stepped outside my room door. Interior of hotel grounds.
  • This is what I saw when I looked left out my window (Spanish Steps this direction).
