When I arrived, Tonnino greeted me in a very friendly manner. He offered me coffee or juice, that's the first thing he did. He also gave me the map of Rome and explained to me which places I should visit. Room was great for a solo traveler like me. The bathroom was very clean. If you're feeling adventurous, there are...

I visited Rome for the New Year's Eve '17 and stood at Hotel Ducale for its central location. Hotel is quite small but overall we had an excellent stay. Room was cleaned on a daily basis and a small breakfast was also served. The staff welcomed us very well and they were really friendly. I would recommend Hotel Ducale for...

the hotel room was very small and not at all close the Termini Station as the ad suggests. In fact, it was 3 tram stops and a 10-minute walk. No fridge in the room. At least it had a\c but I could not adjust the temperature becaue the control was broken. . Would not go back. I wish I had...

The strategic location is near the train station and the coliseum! Very comfortable and familiar. The staff is very friendly and cooperative. The relationship between the quality of the hotel and the price is absolutely advantageous. We were very pleased and we scored on our book for the next visit to Rome.

Good room for one night, the guy at the reception was called Willy, he was helpful and recommended good restaurants, as was Layla who was also very helpful in letting me use the wifi for buisness use in the lobby as it was a lot stronger than in my first floor room.

Close to Vittorio Emanuele square and close to the subway A and Rome main train station (Termini) the hotel is perfect for a work journey in Rome or if you don't need space in your room! The only bad aspect indeed is the space in the room: no more then 6-7 square meters for a single room. Also the bathroom...

Lovely little hotel for a couple travelling on a budget. Pleasant, warm and welcoming they were very kind staff happy to give you tips on where to go and the best ways to get around. Being a little out on the edge from the city centre it is walkable (20 mins) but you will probably get taxis - 5-6 euros...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
