ABOUT MY STAY I stayed at the 2 Star Hotel Miami for 6 nights May 20th to May26th 2007. I was in a single room (I travelled alone) cost 100EUR a night which was quite reasonable. LOCATION It's only a 10 minute walk from the Termini station and is easily manageable with a large wheelie suitcase and hand luggage (no...

My husband and I booked a 3-night stay at Hotel Miami for our first visit to Rome. The hotel is in a good location - we walked to all the major sites (comfortable shoes are a must). The front desk staff was helpful and the room was very clean. Our room faced Via Nazionale but the windows kept the noise...

We stayed at this hotel for three nights in May. The location was good. It is within walking distance from the train station, ancient rome, trevi fountain and the spanish steps. It is also close to a metro stop for easy access to the vatican. the room was on the small size, but comfortable and clean. Our fourth floor room...

Overall we were impressed with the hotel for a city centre, major tourist destination hotel. It is close to all the major sites, the furthest one being the Vatican which took us about an hour to walk to but we took our time and visited a couple of other sites on the way. The room was quite large and clean...

The Hotel is well located for visiting the main sites in Rome. The room was very clean and the shower room was excellant with fresh towels every day. The reception staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was fine with a good choice although it could get crowded. Our room overlooked the main shopping street but with the windows closed there...

My girlfriend and I stayed at Hotel Miami for four nights during October last year. The room was small and the ensuite was tiny -it was ackward just getting in and out of the shower in the confined space! The breakfast was disappointing with a poor selection and a small breakfast room that at times could'nt cope with the numbers...

What's to like? Cold showers, very noisy room (both traffic noise from the busy street below, and sound from other guests on the marble floored corridor), a bed that was so hard we had to check it had a mattress, and breakfast that was in a cramped little room with 30 other guests and cardboard pastries. We've travelled a lot...

It's at most a ten minute walk from the central train station (where the bus from the airport stops). It's on one of the main shopping streets which leads directly to the historic region (colosseum, forums etc) and there's a mtero stop at the top of the street (four minute walk). The hotel is on three floors of an old...

Basic hotel on a very busy main road but convenient for the Metro (five minute walk). Could be noisy so you might want to request a quiet room. The main facility it lacked for us was a comfortable lounge area for relaxing/recovering after a full day's sightseeing. Breakfast was mediocre, typical processed slices of ham and cheese and horrible fruit...

At night the air con was noisy but very cool. Located just 4 doors away was a little store whre you can get all...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
