First, we ask for 4 rooms, and we specifically asked that 2 of them were next to each other because we were travelling with kids and you didn´t have it available at the time we arrived. Then my shower never worked during the 4 days until the last day that a plumber arrived just when I was having my breakfast....

The Grand Hotel Plaza has a great location, but the service was not good. The beds were very uncomfortable, the glasses were dirty. They forgot to make up the pull out couch. Also the toilet did not work.

Pros Excellent location. Close to everywhere you would wanna go. Very nice historical building. Cons Rooms in need for urgent renovation. Uncomfortable bed. Old bathroom. Things don't function as they are supposed to be. Housekeeping is not professional.

We have spent 4 days in the Grand Hotel. I have invited my wife for her 40th birthday and tried to arrange in advance a dinner for the special occasion. But it was on the spot with the help of the very professional event management team of the Grand Hotel that my project turned into an extraordinary event: In an...

From the minute I checked in for a five day stay it was a complete disaster. Let's start with the awful smell coming from the drain/toilet in the bathroom which smelled like we had a direct line into the Rome sewers. Next we had the "privilege" of getting two rooms on the Via Alcorso side of the hotel and for...

Excellent location within 5 min walk to Piazza di Spagna and all main shopping streets, which can really be recommended to a man with dozens of bags following his wife or a girlfriend who decided to "vacuum clean" all of the shops' shelves - Christmas mood, what else?! Grand Plaza is the choice of those who love historic Italian pallazzo...

I just spent the weekend at the Grand Hotel Plaza. My stay was fabulous. I think some of the prior reviewers may have had a certain perception/expectation that wasn't met or stayed during an exceptionally busy time. The hotel doormen immediately greeted me upon arrival and helped me with my bags. Check in was smooth and easy; completed by a...

I spent a few days in this romantic and bourgeois hotel. For those who seek a location with old, chic, noble flavour, this is!! I liked very much this location near the important touristic objectives and shopping area. The staff was very prompt and also I appreciate the care with which we were treated. I recommend it!

I loved my four day stay at this excellently located hotel. It is on Via del Corso...and just minutes away from many of Rome's must-dos...attractions as well as restaurants. The rooms were very spacious...I was surprised, because Rome...like New York and other places huge on tourism and low on acreage, tend to have smaller rooms. Not this hotel...the bathrooms were...

Staying in Campo Marzio

Neighbourhood Profile
Campo Marzio
From its original role as ancient army training fields to its present-day identity as one of the city’s most desirable neighbourhoods, the Campo Marzio is the best place to get lost in Rome. Gorgeous Renaissance and Baroque palazzos line the streets, and are filled with enticing boutiques and food shops. By day, Rome’s best-dressed denizens criss-cross its streets in a fashionable parade of errands, occasionally pausing to look fabulous in gorgeous piazzas like San Lorenzo in Lucina. Campo Marzio can be a bit of a sleeper after aperitivi hour (21:00), so visit by day and experience the pulse of daytime Rome.
