The hotel is near the Santa Maria Piazza and was a great location for exploring Trastevere as well as walking to the major sites. Room was decent size and breakfast included was basic but fresh. Coffee made to order. Helpful front desk staff. Highlight was...More
Would definitely stay here again. Great location to shops, restaurants and church plaza. Friendly staff, clean rooms. Generous continental breakfast included--delicious coffee and I'm not a coffee drinker! Thank you
The staff was helpful. Enjoyable, neighborhood location. Nice walk to the Vatican along the river. Can also walk to many other sights. Breakfast was good. It is not a luxury hotel, but it was clean and comfortable. Great hospitality!
Our room was fairly spacious for Europe, and it was in a great location. Quiet and we were able to walk everywhere. The staff were nice and very helpful.So-so breakfast. Several good restaurants were nearby. We will stay here again.
Seems like a decent budget hotel in an excellent location in Trastevere. It's more motel than hotel, the breakfast was terrible. They did not have water or any beverages at the hotel (or they were out). The wifi was so so!! The rooms and bathrooms...More

Trastevere ("beyond the Tiber") is like a faded postcard, a little worn around the edges but still charming. With its wide-open piazzas, meandering streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of entertainment - a rotating set of street performers entertains almost every night, and unforgettable
eateries and bars pepper its piazzas and side streets. For a trip to the past, visit the southern and western flanks of Trastevere for pockets of yesteryear, less traversed areas with a residual 1960s and 70s Roman vibe.
Hotel Trastevere is a few minutes walk to buses and trams, there is also a light bus that goes to piazza garibaldi and continues to the Vatican. As for night life it's all literally just around the corner.....

We did the trip the other way around. Took the train from Civitavecchia to Trastevere and the tram from just outside the station to a short walk to the hotel. We had the hotel reserve a car for us to the airport on leaving so we were confident we would arrive in time. We each had a moderate size suitcase and are seniors, but managed fine. All the hotel staff are very helpful with any information.
