This hotel is wonderful. The rooms are well appointed and spotless and all the staff are so welcoming and attentive. The hotel is situated in a quiet area less than a mile from the Vatican and near the Metro Station but why use a Metro when the hotel is just a short walk from the Tiber and the City Centre? Breakfast is...

We loved this hotel! It has a lot of Italian charm (palazzo-style furnishings and decorations) but it is also a small haven of peace and quiet in an otherwise hectic city -- meanwhile, it's so accessible, a couple of blocks from the river, one block from subway, even possible to approach by car (which is really something in Rome!) The...

The hotel is a very lovely hotel with a friendly staff. We were in Rome for a week and loved the location for getting around. Although the immediate neighborhood is quiet, the subway is only a minute walk away and many bus stops are within a few minutes away. We bought a weekly transportation pass (€24), and using Google maps...

Good service and helpful staff. The rooms had a good size and cleaning was impeccable. Morning buffet was reasonable and it was a nice small cosy roof top buffet on 5th floor. Hotel is not big, but cosy and comfortable and is located right next to Levanto metro station. The area surrounding the hotel is generally quiet and safe to...

We stayed for a week and had a great time, very close to the center of Rome and to the Vatican, Gabriele made us feel like home, she was always looking after us and making sure a high chair was set during breakfast for our son who is 18 months old. Very generous breakfast and spacious rooms. As any other...

I found this hotel excellent in two areas: customer service and willingness to please. The breakfasts on the rooftop were delicious and the staff really do everything they can to ensure you have all you could want. You can see the domes of the buildings in the nearby St. Peter's square from here. The room where we stayed was very...

This is a beautiful boutique hotel in a quiet neighborhood within walking distance of Vatican City. There's a metro conveniently located just adjacent from the entrance, which was wonderful for exploring further afield. The breakfast at this hotel is held in the gorgeous rooftop terrace and was extensive... Service was polite and wonderful, as well. The only drawbacks we could...

We needed to stay close to the Vatican and chose the Farnese for that reason. It's a lovely small hotel with charming and very helpful staff. Breakfast is good - particularly the squeeze your own orange juice and is served on the top floor with glorious views of St Peter's. We were also directed to a wonderful family restaurant just...

Staying in Prati

Neighbourhood Profile
Prati
Just steps away from the chaos of the centre, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighbouring Borgo, Prati is a local favourite for its aesthetic organisation and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets, quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.
