Overall a great stay. Triple room which was plenty spacious enough for 3 of us, room spotless, full daily cleaning service and all bathroom toiletries freely available. All hotel staff and the service provided was incredibly good, couldn’t do enough for us from reception to the cleaning staff, and being our first time in Rome gave plenty of advice on anything and everything we asked. Special word for Allesio who was so helpful and friendly, really attentive and an utter professional.
In summary, a really nice hotel in an ideal location, close to many decent restaurants and walking distance to all main tourist attractions. Metro station also within a 2 min walk if needed. Hotel highlight for us was every member of staff and how friendly and competent they all were. Would absolutely recommend.

Stayed for three nights last week. All of the reception staff were polite , friendly and spoke good English. Anna deserves a special mention , nothing was too much bother and is a great asset to the hotel. The room was cleaned daily and a good breakfast was offered in the restaurant next door .Evening meals were also provided there too , the food was of a high standard and residents of the hotel received a 10% discount. The location of the hotel was good , being only a short walk from the main railway station and a number of the other tourist hotspots. The only slight downside was the noise from the street , even though we were upgraded to the top floor. The Italian drivers do like to sound their horns and the emergency services their sirens throughout the night , although this is obviously the hotels fault. Overall a great pick on our first visit to Rome.

Absolutely amazing! The staff were so lovely, friendly and professional, they will answer any of your questions and always available for anything you might need. Anna gave me many recommendations for restaurants too! It's walkable to Trevi fountain, Spanish steps etc and then there is also a metro stop right nearby if you need to use metro to go further away and main station of Rome is just 5 minute walk away. Would highly recommend! I went here as a solo, felt so safe and secure and your room is made up everyday and the rooms so quiet, I never heard any noise or disturbance! If I come back again, I would stay here :) Thank you!

The reception staff at this hotel are amazing & so friendly & helpful. The location was excellent within walking distance to all of the main attractions. Breakfast was good although we didn't realise you could order premium coffees until we saw someone do it on our last day. The happy hour is also a nice touch & we did this once. We were disappointed with the room. We had a superior double but it felt very small & in need of an update. There were chips in the wood work & the room just felt not that clean but think that's the age of the decoration as in marked walls etc. There was building work going on (not sure if from the hotel or a neighbouring building so might not be the dharmas issue) so our view from our room was of portoloos & building materials which was disappointing. The builders also started early & shouted at each other from 6am each morning even on a Sunday so not the wake up call we wanted. The noise both at night & early morning was challenging, I guess we are in the centre of rome but we really didn't sleep well over 4 nights with the builders & the sirens all through the night. There was some confusion over packages we'd booked & then cancelled as we decided we wanted more time exploring the city & because we'd been disappointed with our room we were worried that the spa wouldn't be of the standard we'd want for 100 euros. The reception staff did sort this at check out which was appreciated. I think the hotel is in a good position to explore the city & if you're not going to be in much then it's a good base but we had higher expectations from previous reviews & photos on the website. I also think the word luxury is misleading as its more comfortable than luxury. The building itself is beautiful & the social areas were clean & well maintained. The hotel is really close to Termini station so very easy to walk from there & the train from the airport is very easy to do. We did all the attractions but book skip the line tickets. I would highly recommend Crown Tours. The Trevi fountain is also empty at the moment & many buildings are being worked on ready for the jubilee. I'd also avoid the hop on buses. The traffic is too busy & you don't actually get to use the ticket as much as you'd want. Also they don't actually go to any of the main attractions as they can't get there so you have to walk from a bus stop apart from the collesuim so I'd either walk or use the metro. The staff at the hotel helpfully send whats app recommendations but we'd pre booked all our excursions & resturants. Overall we had a great time & Rome is a wonderful city!

Dear Guest, We are sorry to hear about your comments regarding your stay at the Dharma Luxury Hotel, despite your appreciation for the excellent service and friendliness of our staff, as well as our complimentary happy hour. All our rooms are equipped with top-quality soundproof windows to ensure maximum comfort and minimize nighttime noise that can occur in a large city like Rome, as is common in most metropolises. The type of room you booked falls under the entry-level category, and its dimensions are listed on our website. Furthermore, the noise from construction you mentioned does not pertain to our building but to the adjacent property. Just like in your own home, nearby residences may undergo renovations that can create noise. Regarding your feelings about our spa, we would like to inform you that it was renovated last year and includes a sauna, steam room, jacuzzi, and emotional shower, allowing you to relax and enjoy a unique experience in complete privacy and intimacy. If you had expressed your concerns, we would have gladly arranged a visit for you before confirming your use of the facilities. We believe you would have found it to your liking and left satisfied. We regret the impression you had, but we are confident that if you choose to visit us again, your perception will positively change. Best regards, Andrea C. Front Office Manager

Very honest review.

Firstly I want to say the staff here are exceptional, very friendly and helpful, could not fault them.

However the rooms could do with improvement (and this was a superior double). This wouldn’t be an issue if they didn’t claim to be ‘luxury’. Firstly the rooms interior design is really modern and is initially what attracted me to this hotel, but the paintwork and wood is often badly marked or not maintained. The bedding is poor quality with hard pillows however the mattress was quite comfortable. The A/C is on an automatic timer and shuts off after 3 hours meaning it can get warm quickly while you are asleep, especially with the heat from the mini fridge.

In the bathroom a lot more improvement is needed. The shower while clean had a lot of build up of mould. Toilet tissue is dispensed through a box on the wall in single sheets, something you’d find in a public toilet and not in a hotel describing themselves as luxury. The bathroom door also did not lock or shut properly.

The area is good, not too far from the main station. It can be busy and noisy on a night but this is Rome and what I expected.

To summarise, the hotel is decent, and a good location with excellent staff. But it is not luxury and can be quite basic in some areas and falls short of typical 4 star hotels I’ve experienced in cities like London, New York and Paris.

Dear Guest, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. We are thrilled to hear that you found our staff exceptional, friendly, and helpful. Providing excellent service is our top priority, and it’s rewarding to know that our team made a positive impact on your stay. We sincerely apologize for the issues you encountered with your room, but we want to inform you that our rooms are equipped with two types of pillows as a standard set: one soft and one ergonomic. If you had informed us of your needs, we would have provided different pillows. The air conditioning can be directly controlled by the guest about temperature and timer settings, but you could called us for assistance. Reception desk is open 24 hours. Regarding toilet tissue dispenser we inform you that our Management decided to use this system to reduce paper waste in order to protect our planet. We are glad you enjoyed the location and the vibrant atmosphere of Rome. We strive to provide a comfortable and enjoyable experience for all our guests, and we regret that we fell short of your expectations in certain areas. We hope you will consider staying with us again in the future, so we can provide you with the high-quality experience you deserve. Kindest Regards, Andrea C. Front Office Manager

We thoroughy enjoyed our stay at the Dharma Luxury (Comfort Room) !
The staff (Alessio, Simon, Andre & Anna) were amazing - so friendly and welcoming and always willing to provide advice about the best way to achieve our day trips, what to prioritise in terms of making online bookings and directions etc. The room was lovely and well-sized and nicely decorated and was not cramped; the bathroom was great and spacious. The breakfast (included and at the restaurant next door) was excellent with a full spread and excellent coffee. Again, staff were excellent - always friendly and attentive. If/when we go back to Rome, we will stay there again. The location of this hotel is perfect as it enables walking access to so many tourist sites and makes for easy and quick access to the subway for those places just a little too far to walk. Rome really must be walked to enjoy. Restaurants in the near vicinity are excellent and very reasonably priced; we enjoyed every eating experience. Shopping (huge variety) is only a few streets away and will keep you entertained and busy!

The staff at the hotel and restaurant made our stay that much more wonderful. The hotel is in a perfect location, if it wasn't so hot we would've walked to the Colosseum or Piazza Venezia. But instead the train station and Hop On Hop Off first stop is just around the corner. Down the street is a Gelataria and McDonalds... I know but came in handy with the little ones. The Opera was right by the hotel. In addition to location the breakfast was excellent! They even have coffee brewing, American style, plus specialty coffee's are included. We also used the laundry service which was fairly priced and ready by the afternoon. Lastly, the hotel offers a Happy Hour for hotel guests. Live music and a spread of savory and sweet snacks/food with prosecco and drinks available. Our stay at Dharma Luxury made our visit to Rome so much more memorable!

A very well run hotel with staff that always go the extra mile.
The rooms are a good standard with an excellent cleaning routine.
All the receptionists were extremely well presented, really friendly, helpful and knowledgeable with a great desire to leave each guest wanting to return to this wonderful City.
On our arrival, they explained everything in great detail (including seeing us to our room and showing us how to operate things like the air conditioning), and also gave us their recommendations for restaurants in 3 areas of Rome of which we tried 2 and were the best meals we had.
Also gave us guidance on best way and times to visit the attractions and we booked the fast track Vatican tour through them which worked really well.
The staff really made it the best experience of our holiday.

We stayed in a family suite in August, we appreciated the location of the establishment. The staff is pleasant, thanks to Raffael for his welcome.
The room is modern. We had a shower/hammam unfortunately the tiles were coming off.
The hotel is generally clean, pay attention to the filter alerts that need to be changed on the air conditioning.

We can't say enough good things about this fabulous hotel. We arrived by train from La Spezia at noon, fully expecting to store our luggage and find somewhere for lunch until our room was ready. To our surprise, Andrea informed us that not only was our room ready but he had upgraded us. He also noticed we had reserved through an outside booking agent for a higher price than what booking directly with the hotel would have been. He proceeded to cancel our outside booking at no cost and rebooked us at the lower rate (and yes, we've been home for over a week now and there are no excess charges on our credit card). Our room was beautiful and clean with a very comfortable bed and pillows. Breakfast is included at the restaurant right next door (Cotto) as well as happy hour from 5-7 pm which included Prosecco and snacks. We decided to stay a third night and had to switch to a different room as the room we were in the first two nights was already booked. We stayed in the 'wellness room' and wow, it was fantastic. Bigger room with a jacuzzi tub, steam sauna and walk through rainfall shower. What a great way to end our vacation. All we had to do was pack up our belongings and headed off to breakfast. By the time we returned from breakfast the room was ready and we just wheeled our suitcases over. The hotel is in a great location - close to Termini station and within walking distance of the Colosseum and Trevi fountain. Piazza Republicca is just around the corner with easy access to the Metro. Overall we can't thank the staff enough for making our last few nights in Italy so wonderful. Andrea, Alessio, Alessia, Simone and Emiliano - thank you all so much.
