We stayed in this hotel for 5 nights and it was a good stay ! In fact, well located near metro very practical and easy to go to monuments (coliseum, forum ...) and many restaurants ... The staff is nice and smiling.

This was a good value lift a family. We had 4 twin beds, not the most comfortable but adequate. Very good water pressure in shower. Staff was very helpful in giving directions, making suggestions, and providing requested blankets. It was a bit loud on the street we were on. Breakfast was good.

Good location. excellent staff. Room & bath reasonably spacious and very clean. No hot breakfast but good continental selections. Main issue issue is very weak WiFi- many times unable to use for WiFi cell calling. Even email was limited.

I stayed at the Hotel Aberdeen as part of a Rick Steves' tour, so all of our hotels were chosen for us. The location is great, near the Piazza Repubblica and not that far from the Termini train station. The hotel was very clean and the staff we interacted with was nice and helpful. My disappointment came for several reasons. First, the bed was very stiff as I understand is popular in Italy but I did not sleep well on it. Second, the air conditioning unit in the room did not work well. At best, a light fan blew temperate but not cool air. Opening the windows was an option but there are no screens so we would risk bugs getting in, plus the noise from the street. We heard live music on our first night's stay so that may not work for some. There were only 2 electrical outlets we could find, one on the desk and the other in the bathroom. Not convenient trying to charge 2 cell phones. The wifi was unreliable and we kept losing our connection every few minutes, which made it very frustrating trying to plan the following day's logistics. Breakfast was provided and included cereal, pastries, meat and cheese, and yogurt. There are no hot dishes such as eggs. The breakfast room was also small and our group had to stagger mealtimes so everyone could fit. The downsides for me did not make up for the great location. With all of the choices in Rome, I would look elsewhere or encourage the hotel to address the issues I mention here to make things more comfortable for future travelers.

I choose this hotel based upon the Rick Steves guide to Rome. The is a good tourist hotel located near Termini train station. It is between Via Nazionale and Via Venti September. Across the street is the defence minsitry with an MP at the gate. It is an easy walk to the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, and the Fourm, Colessium. The Repubblica Metro station (line A) goes to the Vatican. Line B can be reached at Termini. I stayed in Rm 16 on the ground floor. The room had a double bed, TV, desk and air conditioning. The shower had a good supply of hot water. You cannot set the temperature for the air conditioner and it runs constantly. The room was sufficiently cooled in +28-30 C. There is a safe. Breakfast lacks variety especially for an extended stay. There is cereal, fruit, juice, yogurt, cheese, salami, ham and hard boiled eggs. Whte and brown sliced bread, white buns, croissants are the daily breakfast. The staff is professional and is able to arrange tours, transportation and suggest where to eat. The front desk is manned 24 hours. About 1900 the doors to the street are closed you have to buzz the desk to enter.
