Stayed here September 22-25. The room was far bigger than we had expected, very clean, friendly staff and nice breakfast all helped make it a memorable trip. Excellent location, very close to the Trevi Fountains and Barberini Metro station, plus lots of great places to eat. Not the cheapest place in Rome to stay, but this is five star accomodation...

Domus Julia is a great value and nice little hotel. It’s the apartment annex to the Hotel Julia, so you check in and have breakfast buffet at the hotel, which includes warm boiled eggs, sliced ham, croissants, cereals, yoghurt, capuccino. It is a fine little place, in a great location, at a very reasonable price. We had a double/twin room,...

We were booked into this hotel by a travel agent. The location is a 15 minute walk to anything. Hotel staff was any thing but helpful. We had no hot water for the first day. The breakfast consisted of old pastries and juice that was foaming. To enter your rooms, you exit the hotel onto the street and use one...

We stayed at the Domus Julia for 4 nights. The positives: the room was very clean, the personnel were mostly helpful, the location is excellent, the breakfast good. Negatives: the air conditioning remote control(necc. for its operation) had been removed and was never found (it wasn't "hot" to the Italians, so they apparently didn't think we should need the a/c);...

In October 2005 we stayed in Room 11 at Domus Julia , which is adjacent to Hotel Julia, where the front desk, little bar, and breakfast room are located. The room was spacious, clean, well furnished, air conditioned and comfortable. The street below was noisy but with the window closed at night it was not a problem. The bathroom was...

This hotel has a great location (not far from the Spanish Steps, the Trevi Fountain, the Colisseum & a metro stop). Our room was very nice & not too small. It was air conditioned and there's internet access at the front desk. It's a bed and breakfast so they'll bring you your continental breakfast in your room.

We had a nice spacious room and huge bathroom. WE had plenty of room for four people. The Domus Julia is in an excellent location. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very basic. We would stay here again.

We recently went to Rome on our honeymoon and stayed in Rome for 5 days. We picked Domus Julia because is was central to everything. Rosa and her staff were awesome and the accomadations were fantasic. The apartment (double) was spacious and more that up to date. Getting around was easy and close to everything (we used the Metro to...

We stayed at the Domus Julia Hotel in Rome. The Domus Julia is part of the Domus Hotel, it's an appartment next door to the hotel. At this hotel we paid 160 euros/night, it is not as nice as was suggested. The hallway leads to the room is dark, I almost tripped twice because of the long hall way. You...

Excellent location. It's a 2 minute walk to the Barbarini Metro stop, less than 5 to the Trevi Fountain. Lots of restaurants nearby. The room was very spacious and a good bargain. Very private. However, there is definitely some street noise, so closing the windows at night might be helpful. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Staying in Trevi

Neighbourhood Profile
Trevi
A non-stop photo and souvenir opportunity, Trevi is all about action. From early morning through the wee hours, the piazza surrounding Trevi Fountain hosts a never-ending flow of tourists hoping to make a wish or take a selfie. Clever restaurants, charming gelaterias, uncanny bars, kitsch shops, and a range of hotels make up the local landscape. Beneath the bustle are the remains of an ancient neighbourhood that you can visit by heading over to a repertoire cinema and asking for a peek underground. There is something for everyone, but if peace and quiet are what you seek, plan to visit in the early morning hours.

“There are no screens, and if it's late spring or summer you'll have to have the windows open in the early evening. Since there are big streets near, the noise will be audible with windows open. Mosquitos will also be an issue if you open the windows before you turn out your light. There's green coils available in markets nearby, ask for assistance at the desk. NBD.”
