My husband and I spent 4 nights at the Art Hotel in December 2010. The hotel is in an excellent location just a couple of blocks walk from the Spanish Steps, with taxis, train station, restaurants and the major shopping streets of Via Condotti and Via del Corso all just a short walk away. The hotel is in a quiet,...

Location is fabulous. Did not like the decor -- it looked like an alien planet prison with neon colors that hurt to look at. We could have lived with that, but our room smelled heavily of air freshener that made my head hurt, eyes water, and throat constrict. The Internet connection cable was broken, and the receptionist said he could...

We really regret for your negative experience at the Hotel Art, and we are sorry that our efforts were not enough for your allergy. Please note we clean air conditioning filters periodically to reduce any allergic problem. cant beat the location in a private side street right off Spanish steps. wants to be hip and chic design but misses the mark . the bedroom furniture is unispired. Could be a novotel or best western if it were not for the modern bathroom fixtures and lights. Bedside Lights on construction wires , impossible to adjust for reading without...

My husband and I stayed at Hotel Art from 10/17 – 10/22. We had checked in early and found that our room was not ready yet. So they held our bags for us and we came back 2 hours later to check into our room. We had room 309, the orange floor (each floor of the hotel has a unique...

With so many choices in Rome it was difficult to arrive at a decision, but an online booking engine proposed this hotel at a great rate and we gave it a shot. We were installed on the "blue" floor... the elevator hall, the bath tile even the soap in the bath, were blue themed and I assume the red and...

This hotel should be among the top 5. It is very elegant, new, and the design is very very special. The hotel itself is already a piece of art. The breakfast restaurant is very relaxing, with big lounge chairs instead of the usual high uncomfortable dining chairs, good to enjoy a relaxing morning coffee and the good inclusive breakfast. The...

In short, I would not recommend this hotel if you have options. The room was clean enough but the air conditioning is controlled from the lobby and when we complained we were given a 1950's fan to plug into the wall. On check out 3 days later, the desk clerk told us other guests had complained as well, so they...

great location +beautiful interior design I truly enjoyed my stay. The hotel is located in best barrio(for me)of Rome.Meanwhile it is walking distance from all the action situated in a beautiful pergola like street. This hotel would not be a good choice for people who are used to traditional large hotels.

The hotel has a wonderful location. It is on a quiet side street filled with art galleries and interesting buildings, yet it is only a block from all the action near the Spanish Steps and the elegant shopping of the Via Veneto area. Staying in Campo Marzio

Neighbourhood Profile
Campo Marzio
From its original role as ancient army training fields to its present-day identity as one of the city’s most desirable neighbourhoods, the Campo Marzio is the best place to get lost in Rome. Gorgeous Renaissance and Baroque palazzos line the streets, and are filled with enticing boutiques and food shops. By day, Rome’s best-dressed denizens criss-cross its streets in a fashionable parade of errands, occasionally pausing to look fabulous in gorgeous piazzas like San Lorenzo in Lucina. Campo Marzio can be a bit of a sleeper after aperitivi hour (21:00), so visit by day and experience the pulse of daytime Rome.

It is the verses of poets that guide the steps of guests of the Hotel Art by the Spanish Steps on Via Margutta in the artistic heart of Rome, few steps from Piazza di Spagna. Do not expect signs: the entrance is a minimalist passageway hidden by the many art galleries on Via Margutta. The Hall was once a chapel now below vaults decorated with a starry sky there are the tables of the bar restaurant. ... more   less
