I stayed last year with my mother. It was quaint and comfortable and located in a nice, trendy neighborhood. Alessandra and Carolina make all the guests feel at home and you will feel like a big family during your stay. They also go out of their way to give you tips on sightseeing and even walk you to the main...

Everything that has been written about Trastevere Colors by previous guests is totally deserved. Trastevere is a lovely, safe and attractive suburb of Rome. The famous sites are within easy reach and the area has lots of super restaurants to cater for all tastes and budgets. Trastevere Colors is in a quiet spot, even I who can't sleep if there...

The location is very conveniently located for walking the city , getting a train to the airport and for enjoying the delightful neighbourhood of Trastevere. Our room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable with a great shower! For my husband and I the highlight was the opportunity to have breakfast every morning with the owner Alissandra. We learned more in...

A great guest house, close to bars and restaurants and lovely parts of the city that tourists would not normally get to see. You can walk from here to the centre, but trams and buses are very close by as well. The best feature of the hotel though is the owner, Alex. She goes out of her way to help...

It was in October 2014 when I stayed at Trastevere Colors. I was supposed to stay in another apartment near Roma Termini but it was not a good encounter and my friend from Singapore managed to book me at Trastevere Colors at the last min on the day I arrived. I felt secured and was glad they have clean, nice...

The best thing about this place is its great location (5 min walk to Piazza de Santa Maria) and the wonderful and helpful hostess. We stayed in the only apartment, otherwise the rest seem to be rooms. The apartment was good for a family of four, although a bit cold in October but air-condition machine could warm it up. The...

Ideal location for exploring Rome, either on foot or by public transport. The B&B is in the heart of the fascinating Trastevere district with its many quaint streets, piazzas, churches, restaurants and boutiques. Classical Rome and the Vatican are not far away. The welcome from hostess Alessandra makes one feel immediately at home. This multilingual lady is warm, friendly and...

From the moment my husband and I stepped foot inside the inn, we felt at home. The room was beautiful, clean, and comfortable. The family style breakfast was the highlight of our stay where we could chat with all the other guests and our host Alessandra. She was the most welcoming and helpful host I have ever encountered. She was...

We stayed here last year. Alessandra was helpful beyond expectations. A lovely person and helpful to us even giving a lift to an area difficult to get to with public transport. The room was quiet, cool and clean. There were lots of good restaurants nearby and easy access to the centre. It was good meeting other guests around the breakfast...

Staying in Trastevere

Neighbourhood Profile
Trastevere
Trastevere ("beyond the Tiber") is like a faded postcard, a little worn around the edges but still charming. With its wide-open piazzas, meandering streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of entertainment - a rotating set of street performers entertains almost every night, and unforgettable eateries and bars pepper its piazzas and side streets. For a trip to the past, visit the southern and western flanks of Trastevere for pockets of yesteryear, less traversed areas with a residual 1960s and 70s Roman vibe.
