This B&B has three different rooms in a 1920s villa, the owners live on the premises. We stayed there as a couple at the beginning of June 2016 for one week. This spot is perfect if you seek authentic Roman / Italian atmosphere and you rather want to avoid the masses of tourists (and tourist traps) in the center of...

My wife an I visited Rome in the beginning of october 2015. Wanted to stay a little out of town center, but near bus/metro for three days. Wanted a tranquil place and a spacious room. We got it all! The B&B had 3 bedrooms and excellent service. It can be recommended! Kari & Finn

We stayed at the hotel for two separate nights at the beginning of Dec. and towards the end of the month with our 3 children. The hospitality and kindness of the owners are great! When we landed in Rome we could not rent our car from our car rental company (Cartrawler – don't ever rent from them!) so after arriving...

During our road-trip through Italy (two weeks ago), we visited Il Tempio di Morfeo in Rome for 3 nights. We came across this B&B through TripAdvisor and were attracted by all the great comments it received. And wow, people haven't lied at all! The B&B was fairly easy to find with gps, and we were happy to be able to...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Tempio di Morfeo is located in Rome, in the district of Montesacro, which is one of the oldest and most residential areas of the city, and it is Close to downtown Rome and to the major attractions of the Eternal City. The building is one of the few vintage cottages that maintain the characteristics of the particular architecture style designed for this district at the beginning of the 1920s. The main feature of this building style is the garden city decorated in the typical Anglo-Saxon fashion, exclusively made of cottages surrounded by gardens, and connected by shady and quiet roads. Since 1923, this wonderful manor has been handed down generation to generation, and the owners have been paying attention in preserving the old architectural and stylistic features of the period. Some of these characteristics are marble floors decorated in the style of Art Nouveau, vaulted ceiling, and antique furniture. The cottage has three floors and has a maximum capacity of ten beds. The building is made of three large rooms called with the names of three Greek gods: STANZA AFRODITE (Room Aphrodite): 1 queen bed with private bathroom STANZA ATENA (Room Athena): a room with 3 single beds, which can be converted to 1 double bed, with private bathroom STANZA ASTREA (Room Astraea): a double room with 2 single beds and 1 added bed, and private bathroom, ideal for families and groups of friends. All the rooms are finely furnished with antique furniture, have television and Internet, and face the house garden. Breakfast is included in the price, and it will be offered in the large garden during the spring and the summer, while in the winter it twill be served in the old kitchen decorated with vaulted ceilings and country-style furniture. The reading room offers to the guests who are staying at The Tempio di Morfeo a relaxing corner and a place where they can nicely entertain themselves with numerous available books, or have a chat in the living room. Further, for business stay, it is possible to organize small meetings. Moreover, The Tempio di Morfeo makes available to the guests: • Internal parking and electronic remote control to pick up with the room key • Possibility to arrange a shuttle service from and to Fiumicino airport, or Ciampino, and to Termini station • Mini theme tours with certified tourist guides • Possibility to buy entrance tickets for Saint Peter and the Vatican Museums • On-site purchase of underground/subway tickets and bus tickets • Chauffeur Service • Possibility to prepare take-away baskets for lunch (an extra charge will be applied) ... more   less
