The hotel is clean and the staff were great, it sits a very short walk from metro stop Flaminio, and is walking distance from all the major sites. Our stay there was very enjoyable and we will certainly be back,

We stayed here at the end of January 2014 for 4 nights. A very discreet entrance (we walked right by it and had to ask for directions) on a rather nondescript major street but once inside, we cheered up immediately. A friendly welcome by both...More

Young and well-to-do families are the street flavour of Parioli. A new kind of Rome, this area is centuries away from the Renaissance with its pockets of 1930s palaces, tony boutiques, open-air markets and plenty of coffee shops. Parioli was built as an enclave for last century’s haute bourgeois and still represents as such in 21st century Rome. Need a break? The area has several great sporting clubs known for tennis and
riding, a wonderful modern art museum, easy access to the zoo (Europe’s oldest), and is nestled around Rome’s very best parks including Villa Borghese, Villa Ada and Villa Glori.

The hotel has 'happy hour' lasting a few hours in the evening with free bar snacks. Can't recall exact pricing but when in Rome think a bit more than at home. But it wasn't extortionate. And yes, we did get told about an excellent pizza cafe which we walked to. It was recommended by the hotel desk. The staff were more than helpful to us and recommended good choices. Just tell them the sort of eating place you are looking for.

Would love to help Julie, but it is best u check with the hotel. The most effective way to do this is check the price of the room u would like to be upgraded to on Expedia and calculate the difference in what’s advertised there vs what u have already booked. Then if u are using a travel agent, let the travel agent work with the hotel on your behalf to price match the cost difference based on what u find on Expedia. Usually it would be cheaper on Expedia vs going to the hotel directly and typically, your travel agent should get u the lower rate.
Nice hotel, very small elevators though. Excellent service, very pleasant staff and not far from anything in Rome. Good luck!
