Four of us traveled to Rome and stayed at BB Calamatta for two nights in two rooms (April 29/30, 20160. The rooms were spacious, clean and adequate. We chose to walk up the several flights of stairs for the exercise, but there is a 'lift'. Continuous walking and climbing is a given when you travel to Italy. We only dealt...

The location of this place was fabulous. We could walk everywhere and even come back for a rest if needed. The staff was very helpful, breakfast was outside at a lovely café and the room was clean and spacious. Recommended!

B&B Calamatta is so central that my daughter and I could walk to almost all the iconic sites of ancient Rome; it is also close to tourist bus services. I slipped in the street, breaking my arm, and my daughter and I were very appreciative when the resident owner gave us so much help including offering to come to the...

I stayed 4 nights with my family at B&B Calamatta. The prize is low but the service is high. The manager is so helpful and friendly. The room is clear and huge. The location is good too and you can walk to everything. I highly recommend B&B Calamatta.

The hotel was in a good location for that part of Rome. The rooms were recently refurbished and very tastefully decorated with thoughtful details. The bathroom was superb and a real treat with plenty of room and very modern fixtures. The kettle and tea and coffee facilities in room were welcome. There is a very cute balcony where you could...

We stayed for 3 nights and chose this guest house as it was close to an event we were going to. The room was clean and comfortable and the little terrace was a welcome retreat from the hustle and bustle of Rome. Valerio was a great help with maps and directions and recommended some really good local restaurants serving good...

At first, I wasn't pleased with this place because they overbooked me on the first night and made me go to one of their "sister" hotels, Hotel Colombo. Hotel Colombo was the worst experience of my entire life so a) never go there b) if B&B Calamatta tries to send you to one of their sister hotels, REFUSE. However, after...

What a little gem! Hidden in a side street not far from all the main tourist attractions (all with in walking distance). Valerio the owner could not have been more helpful providing us with a map with routes for each day's stay, including recommendations for restaurants and Sant Eustachio's, the best coffee shop in Rome. He also booked us skip...

Picked this hotel out of the blue hoping it was good. Turns out it is in a great location, clean, and safe. Valerio was very helpful in suggesting restaurants and things to do. I would stay there again for sure.

Staying in Prati

Neighbourhood Profile
Prati
Just steps away from the chaos of the centre, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighbouring Borgo, Prati is a local favourite for its aesthetic organisation and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets, quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.
