We stayed at Hotel Argentina for 3 nights. The location was very close from Termini station, we just had to walk around 5 minutes. In this building there are four hotels include Argentina Hotel on the 5th and 6th floor. The elevator was very old school, and only fit for 2 person with 2 baggage. The staff was very helpful,...

We stayed in the Argentina Hotel for three nights. The room was pleasant and very clean (although we had trouble with the air conditioning) and the breakfasts were perfectly fine - when you're as busy as you are in Rome you need something simple and quick! We thought the selection was good and the facilities clean and well presented. The...

Positive: Great location, very close to Termini bus/train station, close to many attractions by walk (Closseo, Palatine Hill, Roman Forum, Piazza Venezia, Museo Delle Cere), couple of bars/restaurant nearby. Clean room (everyday). Average acceptable breakfast. Supportive staff. Good room size and facilities. Worth for it. Negative: Small hotel at 4rd floor of a building with an old small lift. No...

We were in Rome for 4 days, 3 nights and wanted something simple and clean. The exterior and furnishings were a bit drab but everything was clean. The staff were really polite and helpful. The shower was excellent to come back to, especially after a whole day of walking. Although we were overlooking the main street, it was not noisy...

It is actually one floor in the building where are other four or five hotels. The elevator is very small and old, rooms are small and clean, quite nice furnished. The shower place in the bathroom is very tidy, so i am not sure if the bigger person fits in it. The water pressure is very, very low, so it...

This hotel is one you should trust in. It's simply but has everything you need. Modern furnishing, very tidy and clean, friendly staff. The location is excellent just next to Termini station. The only downside is that the breakfast is present in an rather unappealing way (I know, Italian breakfasts are minuscule, but they could look nice and coffee should...

We arrived very early (around 0900) but we given a room which was extremely appreciated - we had flown from New Zealand and needed a rest ... and a shower! While the water pressure from the shower wasn't particularly forceful, it was good enough to feel clean and refreshed from our journey. Our room had A/C which was efficient and...

Extremely clean bedrooms, the price was good too, but we planned 6 months in advance, really near the station, so it's good no matter which airport you arrive. The guy that received us was a bit weird, seemed to have a bad temper, but was never rude... Stayed for 4 days and it was worth it...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
