I didn't think this place warranted the price and we could have stayed somewhere nicer for the same money. The staff were kind and helpful though. Good location (termini 3 minutes walk, santa maria maggiore 3 minutes, collisseum 15 minutes). The off-street courtyard is unremarkable complete with a load of potted plants which attempt to hide the rubbish bins. Our...

Everything was perfect. Didn't expect this service for this price and from 2 star hotel. Everyday cleaning and towels/bed change, breakfast, the staff was super nice and helpful, the guy from the reception even took our suitcases upstairs, modern bathroom, comfortable bed. 24 hours reception. Perfect location, you can walk everywhere - Colloseum 15 min walk, metro Termini 5 min...

A hotel accessible to Roma termini and location is good.Foods average( breakfast) and rooms are located in separate entrance and not easily accessible . Rooms are average . Has to checkout at 10 am and no facilities to get change yourself if your flight departure is in the night.except one lady all other staff were arrogant and not recommend to...

My family and I had an absolutely awful stay at the so called "two star" Hotel Hollywood near the train Termini in Rome Italy. The room was filthy. There were cigarette burn holes in the bead spread, burn marks on the night stand, mold in the shower grout, dirt/scum in the corners of the bathroom tile floor. There was no...

I'm sure this review would be slightly more positive had we stayed in the main hotel but we were out in an unattached apartment block, accessed by the creepiest lift (that we used once and thought better of it for the rest of our trip!) whilst also being located in a pretty sketchy area. The rooms are tiny - really...

My wife and I stayed 4 nights. The hotel is clean and well kept and is well located in a surprisingly quiet area of Rome with 5 minute walk to Termini train station and centrally located for easy bus ride or nice day walks to major sites. Our room was clean, with comfortable bed, efficient bathroom and nice touch of...

This is certainly a good budget hotel to stay in with European standards as long as you don't expect luxury. Great location near the train station, in the middle of the hustle of Rome, safe with restaurants and shops all around, at the same time the rooms were in a quite building toward the back with lift. The building seems...

The hotel staff was very friendly. The room was small but ok. The bed linen was clean and so were the towels. The bathroom is EXTREMELY small but clean also. I like the breakfast as well. great croissants and a coffee machine to pick your choice of coffee. Great location! The only things I disliked was the price per night...

Prior to our arrival, my wife and I read many reviews about this place. It prepared us very well for our stay. Aside from the personal opinions about the hotel, everything was pretty spot on. Below are some observations of our. LOCATION: everything in Rome is within walking distance of this hotel. If you want to hop on a train,...

This hotel was very affordable considering location and size. The rooms are small..yes...but this is an old building with old and quaint nuance. If you're looking for modern and cold decor..go elsewhere...this place exudes a graceful age that is very comfortable. Some of these reviews are downright mean and untrue. We stayed for several days....the breakfast buffet was better than...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
