If you're looking for a real hostel in Rome, I recommend this one. The staff is so nice that I'll never forget them. They helps you about your needs and are always looking after you. If you are a woman travelling alone, don't choose another place. Hostels in Rome can be scary, except Alessandro 's. The shower and the kitchen...

I've been in Alessandro Palace Hostel one night. The staff is very very helpful and friendly. I had to take a train early in the morning and it's very closed to Termini Station. Room and bathroom were clean. A safe and friendly place to stay in Rome. Highly recommended!

I stayed here only one night in January. The price of the 8 bed mixed dorm room was great compared to other hostel prices in Rome with the same conditions! The room was warm, clean and not crowded at all. The bed was comfortable, there were outlets close to every bed and lockers enough for everyone. Wifi did work everywhere...

I had a great stay at Alessandro Palace Hostel. It was very close to the Termini which made getting to it easy when I arrived late. The room was cozy and spacious and I loved spending time at the bar at night. I walked to everywhere I wanted to see easily from their location. Met fun people from all over...

Good location right near termini making it within a 10-15 min walk of the heart of Rome. Really clean rooms, a little impersonal but perfect for a couple of nights. Staff are lovely, always wanting to get you involved, and there is a fab common area // bar set up that has cheap drinks and good vibes. Would definitely recommend.

This hostel has an amazing atmosphere, they did something different every night I was there for all the social butterflies. For everyone else, the 8 bed rooms were very relaxed and a good place to chill out. Also, The hostel is only a few blocks from Roma Termini, a large transportation hub, including two metro lines. And, It is only...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
