4 of us stayed at this hostel in early August so as you'd imagine, it was between 35 and 40 degrees celsius. The air conditioning worked in our room but it made me feel hot and cold. I'm not sure if it was the air conditioning only or the bed bugs too. We had to move the mattresses from the...

Good for budget expense. Working AC. Beds worn but clean, bathrooms small but clean Young, the upstairs rooftop party averaged with the age of 22. It was kind of a mess of drunk teens by 11 pm. However the guy working there is charming and works hard to get people up there to party. Probably better the younger 20s. Great...

Bed was ok. shower was good. aircon was awesome! Lockers weren't big, but they were good. Was good for what I needed. Nothing special, but then not bad either. Its a party hostel, but well organised that most of the partying is done out of the hostel on pub crawls etc. Staff were a little strange, in that they did...

Spent 5 days here in July 15, location is great, just a 5 minute stroll from Romes Termini station, however we were located in a different building where the airconditioning was not functioning properly. People sleeping in lower bunks were comfortable with the airconditioning but is did not have the capacity to cool the entire room, resulting in much higher...

Overall great hostel stay and great price. Spacious rooms and clean. Nice rooftop area also. Elevators were also a bonus especially with lots of luggage. It just got very rowdy at one point with people screaming and chanting as they went down the stairs at night however this only lasted an hour.

Stayed here for two nights in July, checked in to early but was able to leave luggage and for €2 a pinned locker for any valuables. Our room was in a different building to the main hostel but that was only 30 seconds away. Air con wasn't the great but not too un-bearable in the heat we had. Really close...

This was a good hostel. Central location to Termini station and two metro stations. The pub crawl they do is a little pricey but a lot of fun. I like that there are common areas and I got to know a few of the fellow travellers. I stayed in a four person room and I found that the facilities in...

We had a great time at Alessandro. Thanks to the big rooms, cocktail party and the pubcrawl we`ve met a lot of wonderful people from all around the world. 1 recommondation for the pubcrawl: Don`t go to that last club. Find another one, or go to 2/3 more bars.

I stayed here for four nights last June. It was in a great location, where most of the other hostels and hotels are located so it is a fun, bustling atmosphere. I ended up meeting some super cool people from Brazil, Argentina, Australia and Denmark. We had a blast! Its a simple hostel that is clean and it was also...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
