Simone is friendly and fabulous, and this is a great B&B located right by Ottaviano metro, Vatican city, a taxi stand, and about 10 minute walk from a 6 euro bus to FCO. We got the triple room and the kitchen is stocked with supplies in case you get hungry, and there is an elevator (take it to the fourth...

This was a great budget find in a wonderful location near both metro station Ottaviano and The Vatican. Breakfast is self serve and the kitchen is always stocked with excellent breakfast staples. There was a sweet baked good waiting for us each day. Rooms were always clean. Check-out was super easy. We had an evening flight so Simone let us...

Simone was super helpful. He and his wife made us feel welcome even if we stayed over the holidays (and had to leave on Christmas day). Simone was quick to offer travel tips and was available to answer questions. He even gave us a cake as a parting gift! The rooms were big and clean. (We got the triple sharing...

Got back yesterday from a 3 day Rome stay. Old Kitchen was an excellent place from which to visit all the main tourist attractions. Get the Omnia 3 day papass gss as you jump all the queues and it includes entry into Vatican Museum and Sistene Chapel, St Peters Basilica, The Colliseum, hop on and off tour bus and metro...

We stayed at the Old Kitchen B&B as we wanted to visit the Vatican and other places in Rome. Ideally situated to walk to the Vatican, the Metro is nearby with easy access to the rest of Rome! Aneta and Simone go 'the extra mile' to make their guests feel welcome. The rooms are clean, comfortable and spacious with all...

As written above, utterly amazing roman experience. The owners do a great job welcoming their guests- after 20 minutes we knew everything about the buses, tube and restaurants worth checking out. The room is very clean and neat, air conditioning works even if you're out, which is a huge plus. The equipment of the kitchen is free to use 24/7(fridge...

This was a little gem. The place is clean and situated in a great location to see all touristy things. We had the bedroom with the external bathroom which worked out better for us as we had a 9 month old. It meant we could sit in the communal kitchen and have a shower with out disturbing our sleeping baby....

Simone is a great host that does a good job welcoming and giving all the needed info including good tips on where to eat. The property location is right near the subway and some minutes walking from the Vatican and not very far from the city center. The bed was comfortable and the room was spacious. The interior is redesigned...

I had a great time at Simone and Annette's b&b. The facility is so conveniently located, just a couple of minutes from St. Peter's, the Vatican Museum, and the subway line. The place is VERY clean and comfortable, the beds are nice and the headboards very soft. I particularly enjoyed the breakfast, with a wide selection of stuff, and a...

Staying in Prati

Neighbourhood Profile
Prati
Just steps away from the chaos of the centre, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighbouring Borgo, Prati is a local favourite for its aesthetic organisation and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets, quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.

“I think one room has its own bathroom. I would recommend you check this out. It seems all rooms look out to the street so may all be noisy. There are double glazed windows to close if you don't mind using air conditioner.”
