We were delighted to spend 3 nights at the Old Kitchen B&B. We were a family of 6 and a family of 3 and took up three of the four rooms. With 6 children, we didnt know such a comfortable place existed! Simone and Annettee made us feel welcome and immediately comfortable. Simone's orienting us to the city and his...

This is a b&b which is outstanding in location, friendliness, charm and value. An authentic family-run business, Old Kitchen is set on the 4th floor of a street of traditional, Italian apartments, located less than a 5min walk from the Vatican. There are also numerous useful buss routes and a Metro station (Ottoviano) just around the corner, but it is...

Quite possibly the greatest hotel/B&B we've ever stayed in. As soon as my father and I arrived we were warmly welcomed, and the owners spoke great english, talking about the accommoation and great insider knowledge of getting around Rome. The sort of local information which is essential to any trip and you just don't get at big hotels. The room...

Staying in Prati

Neighbourhood Profile
Prati
Just steps away from the chaos of the centre, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighbouring Borgo, Prati is a local favourite for its aesthetic organisation and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets, quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.

“I think one room has its own bathroom. I would recommend you check this out. It seems all rooms look out to the street so may all be noisy. There are double glazed windows to close if you don't mind using air conditioner.”
