The hotel is in a great location...very close to Piazza de Spagna & Piazza Barberini. The staff was very friendly ~ Alma, Julie, and Nelson were all wonderful to us! Restaurant recommendations were great, and they were all helpful with directions and any other additional needs for our room. Our room was lovely with some antiques, and the bathroom was...

I just returned from my trip to Italy and my husband and I really liked the Hotel Suisse. The hotel is located on the 3rd floor of a building and in order to get to the elevator you need to first go up a flight of stairs (this can be annoying if you have several bags). Our room and bathroom...

We stay in ‘0’ star to ‘5’ star hotels. Therefore we attempt to rate the lodging based on how we perceive the ‘value received.’ Answering the question, “Would I go back to the same place again, for a similar price?” This hotel is a solid YES. Great location. On a narrow quiet street approximately 1 block from the Spanish Steps....

The location is great. Near the spanish steps ( thats in the middle of Rome where all points of interest emanate from). The bathroom is pretty good for the standards in Italy. However, I don't think I'll stay there again. If you want to stay out after 2AM you have to tell the door person when you'll come back (how...

We so enjoyed our stay at this Hotel which proved to be comfortable, spotlessly clean and a haven from the hectic life of the City. Above all the staff were reallyhelpful, nothing was too much trouble booking restaurants, calling taxis and we felt cared for. We liked having our breakfast served in our room- always arriving exactly at the time...

We were pleased with the bathroom and overall size and cleanliness of the hotel and our room. It definitely had the feeling of being in someone's home. We were a bit disappointed that air conditioning was extra. This is not listed on their website, nor was it mentioned in any of our correspondence. We also found it odd that they...

Comfortable and clean bedroom and bathroom at a great quiet location. All staff very warm and helpful :- making restaurant reservations, calling taxis and providing continental breakfasts in room.

This hotel was pretty nice. We had a huge room with a big bathroom and shower. If you decide to stay here just make sure that you specifically ask not to be placed in room 30. This room, which we stayed in, is right next to the front desk so if anyone calls the hotel, rings up, walks in or...

My cousins and I stayed 4 nights in October, 2005. This was my second stay. Our rooms had a TV and ceiling fan. The staff was friendly and very helpful. Julie is great and always has a smile on her face. Very helpful with directions. The location is the best in Rome. Cannot wait to return to Rome, so I...

Staying in Campo Marzio

Neighbourhood Profile
Campo Marzio
From its original role as ancient army training fields to its present-day identity as one of the city’s most desirable neighbourhoods, the Campo Marzio is the best place to get lost in Rome. Gorgeous Renaissance and Baroque palazzos line the streets, and are filled with enticing boutiques and food shops. By day, Rome’s best-dressed denizens criss-cross its streets in a fashionable parade of errands, occasionally pausing to look fabulous in gorgeous piazzas like San Lorenzo in Lucina. Campo Marzio can be a bit of a sleeper after aperitivi hour (21:00), so visit by day and experience the pulse of daytime Rome.
