I stayed at the Donna Laura Palace for two weeks in December whilst working nearby. The staff all spoke very good English and were very friendly. My room on the third floor was surprisingly quiet despite the hotel being situated on a main road. The room was a tad on the small side but very comfortable and clean. Room service couldn't be faulted, and my room was always neat and tidy on my return in the evening.
Breakfast was pretty good, although the hotel could do with getting a new toaster for the bread as the toaster was painfully slow. I did miss Hash Browns and Baked Beans to go with my scramble eggs on toast. That said there was always a good selection of fruit, cheese, cold meats and cereal. The crusty rolls shaped like soccer balls were especially good as was the cappuccino coffee. I really enjoyed my stay at the Donna Laura Palace Hotel.

This is a truly wonderful hotel. Authentic and stylish. The staff are friendly and kind they cannot do enough to make you feel welcome. Even with all of the COVID-19 challenges they still found a way to provide quality friendly service. The food is excellent and they are happy to cater for allergies without any problem. My room was lovely and very clean and comfortable. I had an accident during my stay in Rome and the hotel team were brilliant they took very good care of me as I was in a lot of pain, nothing was too much trouble for them. I really recommend this hotel for anyone planning a trip to Rome.

In my opinion a really nice hotel in a really silent area of Prati borough just 4 minutes walk from Piazza del Popolo.
I was there for business but I gave 3 stars out of 5 for the cause that the clerk wasn't the most accommodating around. Furthermore the next day I had to leave extremely early and I asked him to give order to prepare a breakfast bag for 6am but when i arrived to the desk the next day the cuisine had no order of that. Luckly they prepared me quickly the bag but I was annoyed of the inattention.

We have booked this place from May 5th to the 8th, when we got there, the place looks beautiful, but as soon as we walked inside the room, we noticed the room a little warm, I called the front desk and I was told that the AC was central for the whole hotel and that it was broken, when I tried to say something I was told to hold the line, and somebody else picked up the call, and told me that the AC only work between 3pm and 11pm because it was not the summer season yet, I said well is past 3 o’clock and still is not on. They sent a maintain email to the room, he placed the AC at 76 Fahrenheit and told me to wait 5 minutes for it to start working, after that the fan started running, but it was not cold, just fan. The room was at 80 degrees and never cool down to 76, stuck at 78. We were tired and managed to take a nap, and because we had ticket to the Vatican the next day early, we decided to go to bed around 10 pm that night, the AC never worked, the room never cool down, not even to 76, we were sweating all night, tried opening the door and window, cause outside was cooler, but the nightclub across the street and the traffic noise didn’t help….. we had a hell of a night, we couldn’t rest at all. Next day went to Vatican tour, came back and told front desk we were leaving if AC problem not fix, I was told sorry, you owe us 12 euros for city tourist tax. And they kept the other 2 nights they charged us for it and we never use . Technically this place stole from us. So be aware, this place will lie to you and keep your money for services not provided.

We stayed here for 5 nights back in May… it’s a cute little hotel with small dated rooms and murals on the walls. The continental breakfast restaurant is small… with a few tables & a small selection. Hotel is within walking distance to many restaurants, shops, grocery store, atm, etc.

Great central location. Clean and comfortable with little to no amenities. We initially found the desk staff unhelpful and resentful of doing his job. Later staff members were much more helpful and friendly

The hotel is extremely nice, the rooms are adequate and fairly elegant, the service is great, breakfast, outstanding, centrally located.

The only issue we had is that in spite of having the “do not disturb sign” on the door outside our room, a maintenance man came in to repair something and left a mess in the bathroom, piling up the towels that he used to clean some of the items and place them in the boudoir. I complained to the front desk receptionist, and she sent Mr. Doriano Bandescu-the maintenance man who was extremely professional, pleasant, efficient, and courteous. He did a great job, cleaning up the mess.
Thank you.

I stayed here for 4 nights on a business trip. The room was very large with a fantastically comfortable bed and a powerful shower. Excellent WiFi. All of the staff were incredibly polite and accommodating. A good selection at breakfast and I thoroughly enjoyed the lunches. Special thanks to Veronica at the bar who introduced me to the wonderful Campari!

We stayed at the Donna Lauren Palace during the first part of OCtober 2005. Initially we wanted a reasonably priced hotel which was in the area of Rome reasonably close to the Vatican. The hotel was just under $200 a night.

The hotel is located on a busy street used by commuters. It is set back from the street and the soundproofing is good. As long as you do not open the windows the noise is not noticed. The grounds are nicely landscaped. The lobby is small and the dining room is located on floor "-1" -- or "in the basement" for Americans. The is a small breakfast room also used for dinner on the main floor.

Our room, a double, faced the front courtyard. It was nicely sized. The bed was 2 twins pushed together but made up as one bed. The mattress was firm and to our liking. The room contained a small refrigerator and a safe. The storage was good.

The bath was very nicely decorated in marble. It contained all amentities including a bidet. The only issue was that the shower curtain could not keep the water from seeping over the front edge of the tub when a shower was taken. This resulted in a wet floor.

The restaurant was OK. The food average and a bit overpriced. We found better food and better prices at "local' non tourist restaurants.

The Hotel is about a 20 minute brisk walk from the Vatican proper. The walk to the Borghesia park takes you over the Tiber River. It is about a 20 minute brisk walk to the park or to the Piazza del Popolo. From the Piazza del Popolo you can wander down the the Via del Corso as far as the Colosseum. This can take you all day as you see the shops, churches stop for a coffee and see the many interesting side streets.

We had not requested a balcony until we checked in, and when the front desk initially claimed they were full, we were refused. The hotel had not set us up for 2 beds as we had requested and eventually agreed to honor that request. In the process of allowing us to change rooms we did end up with a lovely room with a balcony that overlooked the courtyard in front of the hotel. We were ultimately happy with the room. We just wished they had been easier to work with, and since they allowed the switch within 15 mins after we had checked in, it was clear they were not full at all despite that being their initial response.

Hi there - I am not vegan but if it is any help at all, the staff there are really good and accommodating so I'm sure they would oblige if asked - you would actually need to ask at the hotel to be sure though.
