We stayed here for 4 nights and it was such a great experience. The hotel is beautiful! There is a rooftop pool with great views, rooms are very nice, and big. The location is also great (10-15 min walk to Treva/pantheon/etc) and right by Termini....More

Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up

I think this hotel is ok for children, but there may be another location better suited for small children. The pool is very small. Depending on how you go to Capri, it's a train ride to Naples or Sorrento OR take a private transfer. You may want to check-out limo services for day trips. It's a long 4 hours by car to Amalfi area. With children, I might suggest a day trip from Rome and an overnight in the Amalfi coast area with an early boat trip out of Sorrento or Naples to Capri.

They gave us the once over each time we returned from our travels. It was an amazing place but definitely exclusive.
Hope this helps!
