The hotel is located right near Barberini Square, a nice restaurant, metro station and a few major bus lines and a drinking water fountain (called nosani by locals) just around the corner which I found to be very useful. Wifi is pretty good and air conditioning is excellent. The room is pretty small though but that's fine compared to all... More

We stayed here for 2 nights after a cruise. The hotel is ideally situated so that you can stroll to the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain and the Piazza della Republica. The Hard Rock Café isn't far away either. The room we had was very average and the ceiling paint in the ensuite was peeling badly. Both mornings we found paint... More

Between the Spanish Steps and the Trevi Fountain, two of the most renowned sights in Rome and a few minutes walk from the lively Piazza Barberini with bus stops and metro you find the small family-run L’Hotel Cinquantatre in Via di San Basileo 53. The prices are reasonable, the rooms cosy and clean and the staff friendly and always ready... More

This is a small, charming hotel with a great location. It is close to Piazza Barberini with access to the metro, bus stops, taxi stand, and tour bus stops and easy walking distance to Trevi and to the Spanish Steps. The breakfast room is on the top floor with a tiny balcony. The rooms are small and clean. This is... More

Hotel 53 is a small quaint hotel near the Via Veneto. Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps and Villa Borghese are within walking distance. We had a nice room that had a sitting area and an outdoor patio. There was also a mini fridge. The shower had great water pressure. The staff was friendly and gave suggestions for restaurants. The hotel is... More

This hotel felt more like a bed and breakfast, for all the right reasons - namely the friendly staff. Small, perfectly located and easy walking distance to Rome's best attractions. Try and book a room at the back, as street noise is very loud (all night), but ear plugs helped from the local pharmacy. Would certainly stay here again.

This little hotel is tucked down a pretty side street near to major monuments such as the Trevi Fountain, the Spanish Steps and the Coloseum is about 30 minutes' walk away. We therefore found this to be the perfect base for exploring the city. Top tip is visit the Trevi late at night, there are far fewer tourists, it is... More
