The location is very very good for Rome from this hotel, but the hotel its self was very disappointing, the breakfast was in a tiny room, the selection of food was very poor, the room was very small the TV did not have one English...More
Great location, friendly staff, good breakfast, good beds. What more could you ask for in a cozy little hotel near the Vatican and on the hop-on hop-off bus route? Viera runs the place and she's a jewel of a person to get to know.
We spent 4 nights at the Residenza Ave Hotel. The location was worked out quite well. It is within easy walking distance of Piazza Navona, Trevi Fountain and Pantheon. It is a little less then a mile from the Vatican museum and 1.7 miles from...More

With three of Rome’s most beloved piazzas within a five-minute walk of each other, the Navona/Pantheon/Campo area may be the prettiest and most picturesque area of the city. Join the beautiful throngs hanging out in cafes, boutiques, art galleries, and wine bars, or peek at a neighbourhood museum or monument. If you want nonstop movida, the streets here are busy with chic bicyclists and Vespa
drivers, street vendors, merchants, and locals. There is no rhyme or reason to its winding streets and there's something to see around every corner, so take pleasure in a spontaneous wander.
Cab is probably the easiest. It cost about 65 euros. But the hotel is in such a great location that once you get there you don't really need a can again. Except maybe to the Colloseum if which is about a 25 min walk.
