The Exe International Palace receives mixed reviews, with many guests commending the hotel for its prime location and the attentive service provided by the staff. While the hotel's amenities, including dining options, are generally appreciated, some travelers have noted an uninviting atmosphere, particularly in the corridors. Room experiences vary, with clean and comfortable accommodations for some, and small, less tidy spaces for others.
The value proposition is debated, as guests weigh the benefits of complimentary breakfast against expectations of a 4-star establishment. Cleanliness within the rooms, however, often earns positive remarks.

The hotel is asking for a major update in all areas, a small reception with no waiting hall, only an entrance hallway to the building which is an old palace? The restaurant was only for breakfast and dinner. We used it one night for dinner and it didn't go well nor did the service who didn't know about the order even pointing out the plates. The menu is fair and the cuisine is very normal. The atmosphere of the dining room seemed and is a very poorly decorated hallway with lights. The room is adequate with a good bed and everything you need, TV, bar, etc. but the bathroom urgently needs an update with more modern services, showers, sinks, etc. Positive reception and breakfast staff, congratulations for their dedication to the client.

This hotel is really central and the staff were nice. Buffet breakfast had plenty of variety, but this had to be the smallest hotel room I have ever stayed in. Room 336. There was a window into a small court yard which held the bins for the hotel, so anytime rubbish was being put out, it was noisy. The maids trolly was right outside our room, so from first thing in the morning, the noise started. There is no chance of a good sleep at all. The hotel is cold and we couldn't work the heating. The 2 single beds pushed together only had a sheet and blanket on it. There was a sliding door to a bathroom, but there was no lock for privacy. We tried not to be there much due to the claustrophobic feeling. The walls were paper thin and could hear people passing wind in the next room

4 star hotel in a convenient location, about 15 minutes walk from Termini. Close to the centre, excellent as a base for walking around Rome. The building is ancient, just inside it seems very luxurious. The room is the right size, I didn't like the carpet on the walls and floor because it could be unhygienic. Fairly comfortable beds, clean and functional bathroom. At breakfast there is a great variety, from sweet to savory, all very good. The staff is courteous. I don't give 5 stars because of the carpet, the high tourist tax (€7.50 per night per person) and the slightly high overall price of the room. However, I recommend it if you want to get around the city in peace.

I had booked a large room for 6 nights(13/02/2025-19/02/2025), the hotel administration treated us terribly... They put us in an economy room, the toilet was at our feet, the room was so small we couldn't unpack our luggage. We contacted the tourist office, but they didn't change our room even after their intervention, they have a terrible administration. The breakfast was very good, but the room was so terrible that everything lost its value. We also paid a lot for the city tax, 90 euros for 2 people for 6 nights. In short, I would not recommend it at all, they have such terrible rooms.

How do you get a room like that in a 4-star hotel? Leaving the elevator I come back I think I have the wrong path because I find myself in a corridor completely invaded by large carts full of dirty laundry I struggle to pass with the suitcase the environment is dirty and discharged completely different from the entrance I convince myself that the room can not be there because I see closed doors and a disused air as if I had ended up in an abandoned or service wing. Unfortunately it is not so I enter the 104 and I find myself in a room with an open window because broken did not close dirty light plates not to touch very old carpet all dirty patched up and full of pieces of paper wood and all kinds of ... but the coup de grace is when I see a man's sock come out from under the bed that was there for who knows how long because completely covered with dust! I'll hold off vomiting and call the front desk to have my room changed. The receptionist did not apologize at all he gave me an even smaller room with a single bed that had a mattress ... but at least on the ground there was no carpet ...

When we arrived, there were only a double bed (and not enough towels etc.) in our room, even though we booked a TRIPLE room. When we came to the reception, we were told, that it was our fault, because we hadn’t mentioned, that we needed three beds. We are three people, who booked and paid for a triple room, so it definitely hasn’t been our fault… after some discussions it was possible to get a third „bed“, which was really horrible to sleep in. Then we booked the Vatican Experience for 109€/person. On the website of the hotel it says that there is a guided tour through the Vatican museums, the Sistine chapel AND St. Peter. In fact, the guided tour, which was in fact very good and interesting though, ended after the Sistine chapel. At the reception we were told, that the church was free to visit, which may be true, but a „guided tour“, like it was offered on your site, would easily cost 20€/person, so it’s definitely not the same. The stuff at the reception was not quite helpful in general. The breakfast was quite good, even though the atmosphere in the room was really loud and noisy. Very sad and not worth a four star hotel.

We needed a last minute convenient to city center hotel and this one fit the bill. The location was great, close to local restaurants, and everything was within walking distance. We felt very safe walking around the area. The front desk staff was very nice. We arrived in town early in the morning and they offered baggage storage until we returned in the evening to check in. They also called a taxi for us on the day we departed. The room was very small and the bed was very firm but it was clean and did the trick. Our only complaint is the hotel said the room offered AC but there was no way to control it.

We booked 3 nights beginning of September as girls weekend away to explore Rome. Booked through 3rd party website as it was cheaper and it said double or twin bed at that price so I left a comment/request to make sure it’s a twin room. From outside it’s a beautiful building, entrance is nice as well. We arrived in the evening and when we got to reception we were barely acknowledged. The receptionist (bold guy) was very abrupt and not pleasant at all. There were no one else waiting or around, so that kind of reception put us off straight away. He barely looked at us, just asked questions in impolite manner. When he gave us a key he said our double room was ready etc. I said it was wrong as I’ve booked twin room. He didn’t like that and we could see he was annoyed. He started looking in the system and found my note. Wasn’t happy about, but eventually gave us the room saying he’s doing us a big favour. The room was tiny, barely any space between beds, wardrobe and a table. Every time we used sink in the bathroom the leak appeared in the wardrobe. There were no duvets, just sheets to cover ourselves so we had to ask for some duvets and were given some blankets. Our window overlooked the dirty courtyard, which wasn’t nice at all. There were almost no natural light in the room. Some part of the window was covered by window another by curtain that ran from one side to other and you could not put it to one side. On positive note: housekeeping team was excellent and polite as well as a porter (I think). However, I would not recommend or choose that hotel again.

A 4 star that is worth 2! Small and smelly room to cover which the whole hotel is filled with a disgusting smell of cheap deodorant. The bathroom has the drain detached from the wall and the window does not close. The general appearance is of a decadent place. The only advantage is the location.

Stayed at the hotel for four nights while visiting Rome with the family.
Location: Good location with short (15-20 min) walking distance from/to Termini train station, Fontana di Trevi, Colosseum etc. Bus stops just outside of the hotel which made travelling easy. Very good restaurants close to hotel.
Rooms: Stayed in standard double rooms. Double bed, small desk, TV, minibar, wifi, wardrobe. Bathroom with shower, hair dryer. Clean rooms. Daily housekeeping.
Breakfast: Buffet breakfast with yoghurt, cereals, eggs, bacon, bread, cheese, ham, marmelades, vegetables, melon, coffee, and of course traditional Italian breakfast pastries.
Stars: Assume the hotel fulfills the Italian 4 star qualification criteria, but comparing with other hotels in Europe I would say 3 star. With that being said, we enjoyed staying at this hotel during our Rome holiday and it fulfilled our needs.

I have tried all the methods available to contact Exe international palace Rome eg reservations, Zen desk, email absolutely no response, I don't have international dialling I feel very frustrated & disappointed in this hotels customer care
Hi, our room was not upgraded yet but it was clean and perfectly fine. The only drawback was the plug to charge your mobile is by the door so you have to get out of bed to use your phone if it's low battery. I would definitely recommend this friendly, reasonably priced hotel in a fab location.
There are more places to choose from in the Rome area.
