The Hotel Stendhal is in a perfect location for visiting all the major sites - Spanish Steps, trevi Fountain etc and close to the Metro. The hotel is decorated to a very high standard with good quality rooms, bathrooms and excellent service. We stayed at the back of the hotel and even though the view was the back of other...

We stayed at the hotel for 7 nights. The room itself was small but I knew that. However, all the amenities were all in there, except it could do with bathrobes. It was also extremely close to all the major attractions and it was nice to be able to walk to the Fountain of Trevi each day to start the...

A very good hotel, but then at this price it should be. The room we had was small (despite being a superior executive) but very well decorated and clean. The staff and service were excellent. Breakfast was slighlty disappointing. When paying so much you might expect a hot sausage or some bacon. They allowed a late checkout and remember the...

My husband and I spent 6 nights at the Hotel Stendhal in May 2011. Our disappointment in finding our room did not have the requested balcony was quickly turned to pleasure through the efforts of the staff, especially Suraj. He arranged to have us moved to the only room with a sizeable walled patio/terrace on the 6th floor--Room 601. The...

We stayed one night in May and thought this was a delightful boutique hotel in a very good position the staff were pleasant and although we were not able to get into our rooms until quite late they did look after our luggage for us. We returned to the hotel 2 weeks later for our last night in Rome before...

We stayed at hotel Stendhal during the first week of June. Overall the experience was nice, the staff is very friendly and likes to help, the location is great, the room was clean. The only negative comment I have is the price. We payed around $500 US for night which seemed to me too expensive for what we got. For...

I think Stendahl is best suited for people who are visiting Rome for the first time as it is ideally situated near a Metro station, the Trevi Fountain & the Spanish Steps. However, for repeat visitors, I would recommend a different area in Rome to stay as Stendahl's location is very busy and can get quite loud when all the...

We stayed there for 2 nights after having a terrible experience in another Rome hotel. After such a lousy stay, Stendhal felt like heaven. To begin with, the location is top and although Via del Tritone is a busy street we heard no noise. The room itself wasnt that big yet big enough, the bathroom was great but unfortunately no...

The Hotel Stendhal was a great place to stay! We stayed for 5 nights and enjoyed everything about the hotel. Very clean and located in the perfect location...walking distance to everything. The breakfast served every morning was a great way to start the day. We'll stay here again on our next visit.

Staying in Colonna

Neighbourhood Profile
Colonna
Frantic fashionistas, pedicured politicos, goal-oriented tourists, and on-the-go locals cross paths every day in Colonna, a delightful chaos in the very centre of the city. Even though it has some of the city’s loveliest sites—a 2nd century column, Belle Epoque shopping centre, and a magnificent Baroque parliament building—Colonna is not just another pretty face, but the cosmopolitan eye of Rome’s cultural storm. Colonna can safely say it has the best of Rome: museums, boutiques, window displays, restaurants, cafes, and people watching.
