We stayed here for 6 nights mid February and was pleasantly surprised.. we didn't pay an arm and a leg but the quality of the hotel surpassed the cost in comparison to neighbouring hotels.. The room and the hotel was spotlessly clean and room service was excellent. The towels were changed every day and the room serviced daily to an...

My wife and I stayed at Hotel Oceania in early February (a great time to be in Rome if you dislike queuing up for everything). We have no complains about our stay at the hotel. The room was clean and comfortable, the staff were super friendly and helpful and the location was great!. I note that other reviews have comments...

Great little family run hotel set just off the main busy road of National so it's very close to major attractions, with in easy reach of the terminal bus and train station . We had a triple room which was clean & comfortable beds made daily and the staff were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble . Breakfast...

My family and I stayed at the Hotel Oceania for 3 nights between Christmas and New Year's 2016. What a wonderful experience! The room was spacious and comfortable and everything you would expect, but what set this hotel apart for me was the staff. They were so helpful and accommodating, even having breakfast for us at 4 am on our...

In a great location, near to everything a visitor of the city might need. Incredibly friendly and helpful staff. The rooms are comfortable and clean. Only the shower could need some improvement, but this cannot disturb the overall great impression for the hotel.

We stayed at Hotel Oceania in 2008 and were very excited to be able to stay there again. Our room was a decent size by Italian standards with a view onto the street. Noise was not a problem. The bed was comfortable and the bath well-appointed. They still have the huge, thin towels that some people find strange. I love...

Loved this hotel! I highly recommend staying here - 5 stars! Check in @ 1pm, Check out @ 11am We paid roughly 90 euro/night for three nights - double bed with private bath. Pros: - Excellent location, walking distance to train station, metro, and all of Rome's popular sights. Down a safe, back street so very quiet and off the...

Very convenient location - short walk from the station and nice and central. Rooms had everything you need - powerful shower, comfy beds - and were peaceful and quiet. Wifi was free and connection was reliable - used it for work emails, video calls home. Breakfast was great - there was a lot of choice - I went for the...

Hotel was nice. I've got everything I needed. Breakfest was a usual continental one, coffe was good. I asked to change the room (I woke up late and the breakfest was loud) - they changed. Temprature at the shower changed for few seconds sometimes, it was not good but manageble.

Three nights at Hotel Oceania were very enjoyable, with incredibly friendly and helpful staff, like Kera, who answered all our questions and showed us to our room. The room was really a suite, with a sitting room with a sleep sofa and a separate bedroom, with well equipped ensuite bath. The walls are covered in gorgeous fabric, and the decor...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
