My family and I stayed at the Hotel Oceania for 3 nights between Christmas and New Year's 2016. What a wonderful experience! The room was spacious and comfortable and everything you would expect, but what set this hotel apart for me was the staff. They were so helpful and accommodating, even having breakfast for us at 4 am on our...

In a great location, near to everything a visitor of the city might need. Incredibly friendly and helpful staff. The rooms are comfortable and clean. Only the shower could need some improvement, but this cannot disturb the overall great impression for the hotel.

We stayed at Hotel Oceania in 2008 and were very excited to be able to stay there again. Our room was a decent size by Italian standards with a view onto the street. Noise was not a problem. The bed was comfortable and the bath well-appointed. They still have the huge, thin towels that some people find strange. I love...

Loved this hotel! I highly recommend staying here - 5 stars! Check in @ 1pm, Check out @ 11am We paid roughly 90 euro/night for three nights - double bed with private bath. Pros: - Excellent location, walking distance to train station, metro, and all of Rome's popular sights. Down a safe, back street so very quiet and off the...

Very convenient location - short walk from the station and nice and central. Rooms had everything you need - powerful shower, comfy beds - and were peaceful and quiet. Wifi was free and connection was reliable - used it for work emails, video calls home. Breakfast was great - there was a lot of choice - I went for the...

Hotel was nice. I've got everything I needed. Breakfest was a usual continental one, coffe was good. I asked to change the room (I woke up late and the breakfest was loud) - they changed. Temprature at the shower changed for few seconds sometimes, it was not good but manageble.

Three nights at Hotel Oceania were very enjoyable, with incredibly friendly and helpful staff, like Kera, who answered all our questions and showed us to our room. The room was really a suite, with a sitting room with a sleep sofa and a separate bedroom, with well equipped ensuite bath. The walls are covered in gorgeous fabric, and the decor...

This building has a very old fashioned small elevator that my husband did not want to use so we walked up the four flights of stairs. The sign outside on the building says Hotel Oceania 3rd floor but you have to climb 4 flights of stairs. We only had carry-on luggage so climbing the stairs was not too much of...

Nice room and interior, intresting italian style elevator (feels like in old movies) friendly staff especially in reception. Just was a little cold in the room. Good location, close to the main attractions.

We stayed one night in this hotel. It is on the 3rd floor of a building off Via Venti Settembre, fairly close to the Roma Termini train station. The staff was very helpful, particularly in assisting us in getting a cab to the airport early the next morning. Check-in and check-out were very quick and easy. Our room had a...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
