We had enough big room. it had a bathroom (medium size but not dirty). beds very comfortable. some nice wardrobes. people very kind and tolerant. downstairs next to the reception there is a wi fi connection. i think its good enough. every morning you have nice breakfast. some bread, ham cheese, coffee tea juice jam. believe me ! you won...

I was only staying a night as I was travelling to Napoli and arrived late in Rome. The place was easy to find, but the room was tiny, the bedsheets were dirty and the walls thin. The wifi is only accessible in the small lobby of the hotel and there it is crowded. The experience got even worse in the...

This hotel was a basic but paying roughly 25 pound a night you get what you pay for. We had a double room with an ensuite and a wardrobe that was it. The room was as basic as you get but it was very clean and bedding was lovely. Wifi in the lobby, staff are lovely and very friendly. All...

This hotel is fine if you're travelling to Rome on a budget. In Rome all you really need from a hotel is a clean bed to sleep in at the end of a long day and this hotel provides that. The rooms are in desperate need of redecorating and repairing in some cases but as I say, if you're on...

After reading reviews I was skeptical about what we would be greeted with! truthfully yes this hotel is very basic...but we had clean sheets, clean towels, hot water showers and small packets of soap and shampoo were provided everyday. The receptionist we met on a daily basis was lovely, the breakfast staff are also hospitable. Breakfast is bread buns, french...

It was the worst weekend in my life. Disgusting place!!! I havent got hot water and heating all weekend. Staff was indifferent. The rooms looked like in prison! If you want to spend nice time in Italy, dont use this terrible "hotel" !

Not good. Smell from bathroom is awful. No TV, no wardrobe, no hairdryer, no tea/coffee making facilities in the room. Towel is a thin sheet. Breakfast is hard melba toast and a roll with butter jam and chocolate spread. Will not stay here again.

Currently staying here for 4 days and was dreading what I was coming to after reading everyone's reviews. This hotel is fine. Reception and communal hallways look good, Rooms were clean, we had hot water in the morning (not in the evening though), location is great and beds are comfy. Plus you get a breakfast included. Yes it's not the...

Extremely basic room and hotel but the location was perfect (round the corner from the termini and we walked to all attractions in Rome) and the price was very cheap so you can't really complain. Love this city.

I just don't understand where all these negative reviews come from. After having a near death experience, you appreciate more the beauty of the city. At first you may only notice the toilette and think there is no shower. But, don't you worry! There is also a shower room. The hotel is also environmentally friendly. The water pressure at the shower...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
