Very clean and comfortable room. Continental breakfast excellent. Near to good restaurants -turn left outside hotel and walk straight up street for 5 mins and restaurants in road on left. Staff friendly, although reception staff could be more helpful . A typical small city centre...More
Good location near the train station - neighbourhood looked a bit 'dodgy'on first impressions being a back street with much graffiti, but found to be safe enough. Room was adequate for fee paid - it was good to have a bar fridge and tea and...More
This establishment should not be a hotel, more like a hostel. The room booked for us by Cruisenation was disgusting. Everything is dated and in the dressing table we found a broken glass and an old sandwich that the prevous guest had left behind! The...More

Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up
basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.

The breakfast was served from approx 7.00am and they do a great job of keeping it full etc and have staff available for any requests. We did a Vatican tour ( in the afternoon)and was picked up by shuttle from the hotel and it was no more than twenty minutes. You can get a pick up organised with the tours which saves that hassle but allow some extra time if going in the morning for the peak hour traffic. The afternoon tour was far less crowded than the mornings and allowed us to see more than others we spoke to that went in the mornings.
