Great hotel and perfect location /base from which to check out and tour the city of Rome. Nearest Metro station, Vittorio Emanuele is about 50 metres away! Flew into Ciampano Airport. Got no.520 Bus to Metro station Cinecitta and got train to Vittorio Emanuele. Hotel is located on 5th floor of building...at front door just press buzzer. You can use the old style lift to get to 5th floor. Room is basic enough, shower, fridge, etc, and air con.(No kettle in room though) 24 hr Reception. (English speaking) Breakfast is great (continental)..from 7am to 9.30 am Room service every day! Walking distance to Colosseum (about 10 - 15 mins)! Metro station around the corner from hotel....about 50 metres!! Don't forget that you will be asked to pay Rome City tax when you check out of hotel....I think it was €25. The only con would be no hotel bar nor restaurant. But there are plenty of cafés, fast food joints, restaurants in the vicinity!!!!…
The AC in the room was not functioning properly. I had 3 rooms reserved for the entire family and my room ac was just not cool enough compared to the other rooms . The hotel water was off for two days . The hotel staff didn’t provide water ( bottled ) until one of the guest at the hotel called the police to explain that we didn’t have any water going into any of the rooms . Continental breakfast was ok cornflakes , pastries , cold cuts and coffee however they are quick to tell you only one cup of coffee per guest . I wouldn’t recommend this hotel plenty of other hotels in the area to choose from .
The staff was very polite. They answered all our questions so that we could have more pleasant stay. Also the room was very clean. Location near subway station, easy to reach Colosseum - about 10 minutes. There is an old elevator but it worked properly. Breakfast is good. Recommend !
My husband and I stayed at this hotel 5 nights, we didn't look for a luxury place because we knew when we are in Rome we would spent lots of time out, cleannes and location were two most important factors for us. This hotel gave it to us, it is near Termini station, so without being worried about a long walk you could take a bus from airport to Termini station. It also takes 15 minutes to Colloseum. It is also next to subway station. There are some pastries near hear where you could eat unforgettable Italian breakfast. We also were satisfied with cleanness. Staff are polite and friendly. Its building is old but it was interesting for us. You may ride an elevator you never saw the kind anywhere else.
Great value for money, great location close to everyrhing, the breakfast was not the best but beside from that a great hotel. Just a tip, from the airport either take the train for €13 or a "normal" taxi for around €50, a lot of taxi drivers will approach you in the terminal and ask if you need a taxi but do not take does they will charge you almost €100.
