+ very good location close to Coliseum and other attractions; affable staff; decent and tasty breakfast; good service; room was clean and cleaning was regular; - most of the rooms or even all of them without balcony; we had very small room literally 9 sq.m., so be careful about it, because they have bigger rooms but all of them were...

Easy walking distance to many site seeing sites. Con - Travelocity and this hotel indicated they provided an Airport Shuttle Service, so the day before we were to...

Very good service. Location just 10 minutes walk to Colosseum. Metro 100 m and you can go to everywhere in Rome. Everything ok. Also not very far from the Termini - 10-15 minutes to walk. We felt like at home.

We wanted somewhere central with everything we needed and were pleasantly surprised. The room had a large bed with the choice of sheets and/ or a duvet. There was a tv with some English channels and a mini bar stocked with a few drinks. There is a shower (not extremely powerful) not a bath but everything was super clean and...

we are a family of 3, with a teenage daughter. We got a large (by European standards) and very clean room with a double bed and two twin beds. Front desk staff very helpful. One of the days we had difficulty with AC, but they fixed it the next day. The weak point is the breakfast. I do not mind...

Staude at Orazio for three nights in a quadrouple room. If you move one km north neigbourhood is better, is my exeperience. Besides that the location is good, and the hotel is good. Wifi gave 25mb in the room. At arrival the receptionist didn't speak one Word or gave any info. Maybe he just had a bad day:-) Wouldn't hesitate...

I was worried at first since the hotel is in very dirty neighborhood populated with sketchy street merchants. The hotel is very clean an staff is helpful. It's in walking distance to many attractions and public transport is nearby. Free Wi-Fi is reasonably fast. Parking is available nearby on Via Poliziano for 20EUR a night.

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
