My husband and I were there for one night . I would recommend this hotel for couples or a family . Great location( close proximity to attractions, shopping etc)comfortable bed , very clean and organized suite, great service . Will definitely come back !
Greeted by the gorgeous smile of Georgia and the dapper Vale in reception who handled all our questions and checked us in slicker then a seagull on the Exon Valdees!

Comfortable, bigger than most bathroom, great roof top bar where you have breakfast as well, breakfast has plenty to choose from as well. The hotel is close to the Termini as well, which makes it really easy to get to if you arrive from airport...More
We stayed in The Independent Hotel during our time in Rome and had a wonderful time. The hotel is in a good location, a two minute walk to the Termini Station with good access to various tourist spots. The hotel staff were wonderful and were...More
My husband and I stayed three nights at the Independent. The room was small, and it was considered an "upgrade," as well in another building which was part of a residential building. Although very modern and clean, we found not being in the actual hotel...More

Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up
basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.

The hotel is located within a 3 minute walk from the Roma Termini station. There you can take the Leonardo Express train to and from the Fiumicino airport. The ticket I believe is 14 Euros per person one way (I was there from August 31st to September 2nd). You can buy the ticket at the airport or at the train station in Rome depending where you're arriving. Hope that helps

The only specification I made was a room with two beds. I was given a nice room with a balcony. The room and bathroom were a decent size. The rooftop restaurant was a bonus. I did not use the fitness center.
